[MALAYSIA] Jessica Jung Dazzles At ‘Diamond Dreams’ Kuala Lumpur Concert

Renowned Korea-American songstress Jessica Jung recently held her solo concert as part of her Diamond Dreams concert tour at Mega Star Arena on January 13, 2024! Read on as we recap what happened during the concert!

Fresh off the release of her fourth mini album Beep Beep in November of last year, Jessica Jung embarked on her first solo world tour titled Diamond Dreams. The tour started at Macau and Singapore before finally stopping in Kuala Lumpur. This was Jessica’s first visit to Malaysia since 2017, and the fans were definitely excited to finally witness her perform live on stage.

The concert started at 7PM local time, as Jessica dressed in a beautiful black dress opened the concert with tracks Set Me Free, Summer Storm and Love Me The Same, which had Jessica perform a special chair dance, much to the delight of the fans.

Jessica mentioned that she and her team had prepared extensively for the concert, and hoped the fans could enjoy the concert. She then got us grooving with Because It’s Spring, Love U, and Better Late Than Never, where she was surprised with the fans’ enthusiastic reactions as she asked them to sing along to the songs.

Jessica switched things up as she performed Beep Beep from her latest mini album, and Snapshot, the soundtrack of her reality travel show with Krystal, Jessica & Krystal – US Road Trip. She then sang Beautiful Mind from her tenth anniversary album My Decade, Call Me Before You Sleep, a track she did with Giriboy, and Wonderland from her second mini album of the same title.

Moments later, Jessica was back on the stage with a silver and sparkly dress as she covered Rihanna’s Diamonds. She mentioned that Diamonds was her all time favourite song, and she hoped that all her fans could shine bright like a diamond, just like the song’s lyrics.

She then sang The One Like You, her soundtrack from the hit drama Cyrano Agency, before continuing with songs from her favourite genres of “dreamy and sleepy”, which were Can’t Sleep, World of Dreams, and Tonight.

Prior to the final song, she mentioned that she missed seeing the fans, and promised to continue making music for the fans.

“We don’t get to see each other often, but please know that your support and love means more than anything to me.”

She ended her main set with a song that she said was written for the Golden Stars (Jessica’s fandom name), Golden Sky. As she sang the song, the fans lit up the venue with golden lights, making the performance perfect.

After a short break, Jessica was back on stage for her encore performance. She started the stage by performing her latest single with Amber Liu, Get It? Got It? Good, and Starry Night

Before she could proceed with the encore stage, Malaysian Golden Stars showed a fan video showcasing their appreciation towards Jessica throughout the years. She was brought to tears as she thanked the fans for the video and their unwavering support.

After collecting herself, Jessica concluded the concert by performing her solo debut single Fly, but not before thanking all of the fans for coming to the show.

The 2-hour long concert was magical as Jessica Jung definitely mesmerised Golden Stars in attendance with her ‘Diamond Dreams’. We look forward to her next visit to Malaysia!
