[MALAYSIA] Eternal Love for Lee Min Ho in Kuala Lumpur

Actor Lee Min Ho who is known for his role in popular K-dramas such as Legend of the Blue Sea, The Heirs and The King: Eternal Monarch recently visited Malaysia for CUCKOO Appreci8th Anniversary Concert 2022 in Malaysia on October 1, 2022 at Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil. Let’s recap the beautiful night with Lee Min Ho!

Powerful Presence

The concert lasted for four hours with a total of 9,000 attendees patiently waited for Lee Min Ho’s special appearance throughout the night. In early April this year, Lee Min Ho was selected as the brand ambassador for Malaysia’s leading healthy home brand, CUCKOO. The famous actor became the final reveal act for the anniversary concert, which thrilled local fans. The founder of the brand, Mr. KC Hoe also expressed his interest in Lee Min Ho since he is a big fan of the actor’s dramas.

More than A Special Appearance

Lee Min Ho warmly greeted the fans with ‘Apa khabar Malaysia?’ (how are you Malaysia?), which heated up the crowd. The actor shared that it has been a while since his last visit to Malaysia, which was six years ago. “Thank you to those who greeted me at the airport. Malaysians are kind, lovely and passionate,” he said. Lee Min Ho later showed his sincere love towards his fans by stating that his favorite thing about Malaysia is the fans. “I feel so touched upon seeing tons of banners that welcomed me upon my arrival in Malaysia,” he added.

Even though the actor’s special appearance lasted for only 20 minutes, he still took his time to do fanservice and interact with the fans, despite the time restriction. He was seen giving high fives to the fans and even taking pictures together with the crowd using his fan’s phone. Fellow celebrities and hosts also took the opportunity to take a photo together with the well-known actor. Lee Min Ho’s visual and down-to-earth attitude truly lightened up the show!

Upcoming Projects

The actor showed his interest in future collaborations with Malaysian artists. “I am very honored to carry out my duties as a CUCKOO ambassador and I look forward to the opportunity to work with Malaysian celebrities again in the future,” said the 35 year old actor. Regarding his upcoming projects, the actor who rose to fame with Boys over Flowers said that he is currently preparing to shoot a sci-fi romantic-comedy drama Ask the Stars, alongside Gong Hyo Jin. “I will also start filming the second season of Pachinko,” added him.

The Seoul-born actor tried to pronounce several Malay phrases as gratitude towards his Malaysian fans such as ‘Banyak-banyak saya rindu padamu,’ (I miss you a lot) and ‘Aku cinta padamu’ (I love you), which again, drove the crowd crazy. The actor bid farewell and expressed his hope to meet the fans again in the future, in a healthy state.

It was a magical night spent with the legendary Lee Min Ho, and we hope it left an indelible impression on all the fans who basked in his presence that night.
