South Korea’s beloved band DAY6 consisting of Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil and Dowoon returned to Kuala Lumpur exactly one year and four months after their last visit for the ‘Forever Young’ World Tour, keeping a promise that Malaysian My Day had been holding onto ever since. Their long-awaited return carried special meaning for local fans, for whom a single meeting was never enough. Beyond the excitement of seeing the band in person again, many fans viewed the night as a chance to express their gratitude by thanking DAY6 for being a source of comfort during difficult moments and for offering hope that life, even at its lowest, can still turn around. Reflecting the group’s growing popularity, the tour was upgraded to Axiata Arena, tripling the capacity of their previous Kuala Lumpur venue. It allowed thousands more Malaysian My Day to be part of the celebration, joining DAY6 in marking a decade of music, resilience and success.
DAY6 showed up onto the stage energetically, opening the night with fan-favorite tracks Time of Our Life, Melt Down, Happy and Welcome to The Show as the opening stage. At Young K’s cue, the crowd rose to their feet immediately, filling the venue with cheers and smiles that spread just as quickly to the members themselves.

As the first part of the setlist came to an end, the boys took a moment to greet Malaysian My Day once again which was in a larger venue. Young K shared snippets of his day after arriving in Malaysia, revealing that he wasted no time enjoying local dishes such as, nasi lemak and durian. He laughed as he recalled how a friend had recommended a specific type of durian, describing the experience as enjoyable yet unexpected. His attempt to explain the taste, which was similar to meat left the crowd puzzled, drawing multiple reactions from both fans and the members. Meanwhile, the rest of the members were curious and wanted to give it a try too as Sungjin cheerfully said “Let’s go eat durian!”.
Wonpil also shared his thoughts on returning to Malaysia, saying, “It was nice coming back to Malaysia, knowing that it’s been exactly one year and four months since our last meeting, I really hope you guys will enjoy today’s concert as well”

The day continued with Disco Day, The Power of Love and Days Gone By before the band playfully teased the audience about getting closer. True to their word, DAY6 made their way down to the extended stage, waving and smiling as they interacted with fans up close before settling into their positions.
“I finally can see you guys!” Young K exclaimed, a sentiment quickly echoed by the crowd, now able to see the members just as clearly. The mood then shifted as they sang to Marathon, Maybe Tomorrow and Zombie. These songs delivered a very deep message on how life can be in the dark but it is possible to get out of it, which left a promising energy to their fans.
After a brief pause for small talk and to catch their breath, they prepared for a breakup and longing for a relationship setlist which were You Were Beautiful, Letting Go, I Smile and You Make Me.

One of the most memorable moments of the night came during the My Day Karaoke section, where DAY6 handed the stage over to the fans and invited them to choose their favourite songs to sing together. Malaysian My Day did not hold back, launching straight into Hurt Road with unwavering confidence. The members looked visibly impressed as the crowd sang every lyric in Korean flawlessly from start to finish. Calls of “One more song! One more song!” quickly filled the venue. The band sang the first verse of Sing Me and let the audience took over until Only and Welcome to The Show. Malaysians were well-known for their sing-along and perfection in Korean which led to endless praises from the members. Young K, “You guys were amazing. This is legendary. Literally. Legend!”
Back on the main stage, they went into a different aura and genre with Love Me or Leave Me, Warning!, Sweet Chaos and Shoot Me. The night went by fast and it’s already the last section of the concert.

Showing up back in their white hoodie merchandise for encore, DAY6 serenaded fans with beloved tracks Congratulations, Dream Bus and Inside Out. During the final ment, Young K pointed out the sea of orange sky created by fans’ flashlights, expressing his hope to see the sight once again. He said it was beautiful and as someone who enjoys the sunset, the moment meant a lot to him.
He also went deep by saying “After a long day, sunset is the moment of realising the day had passed and now darkness came, although it may seem difficult to stay in darkness for a long time, but there will be shines of light again, someday”, before growing shy as he realized his emotions were showing.
Dowoon also checked in with the crowd “Did you guys have a good time healing today?” When the venue responded with a yes, he smiled and added, “That is such a relief! I am glad we could perform today!”

It was an incredible and unforgettable night which both artists and fans really enjoyed the concert to the fullest, where right after finishing Somehow and Freely originally planned as the final encore songs, the audience made it clear they were not ready for a goodbye. Hesitating, Sungjin eventually gave in, laughing as he said “I promised this is the last one! Your energy is insane!”. That shared enthusiasm led to a surprise, with Best Part as the true final stage.
We wish there will be another concert day as per promised and all the best for DAY6 for their remaining stops of their tour and comeback album will be a major success. Thank you to Live Nation Malaysia for the media invite!
