In a testament to unwavering dedication, Malaysian BOICE eagerly awaited the return of CNBLUE to Kuala Lumpur. The 2024 CNBLUENTITY in Kuala Lumpur, affectionately dubbed as CNBLUE Balik Raya by Malaysian fans, marked a joyous occasion for the local fans as the concert happened on the Muslim Eid celebration month. With memories of their last concert in 2014 and a brief appearance in 2015 in Malaysia, anticipation ran high among BOICE who eagerly anticipated the band’s return after ten years.
Organised by Hit Maker Entertainment and Lo-Fi Entertainment, CNBLUE performed at Mega Star Arena in Kuala Lumpur on the night of April 20, 2024. Lead singer and guitarist Yonghwa, drummer Minhyuk, and bassist Jungshin took the stage of Kuala Lumpur, igniting the crowd with a playlist spanning around their illustrious career.
The Mega Star Arena was overflowed with BOICE adorned in various shades of blue—a tribute to CNBLUE’s designated theme colour. Lead singer Yonghwa could not resist from conducting a dress code check during the concert, playfully highlighting the fans’ adherence to the chosen colour.

Despite language barriers, fans enthusiastically sang along to the songs including their old hits like Love, Intuition, and Hey You, much to Yonghwa’s delight.
Overcoming Language Barriers: Heartfelt Connections with Fans
Language is not a barrier for CNBLUE as they endlessly made heartfelt efforts to connect with their fans, transcending language through gestures of warmth and camaraderie. From exchanging greetings in Bahasa Malaysia to learning new phrases from the audience, the band’s genuine attempts to bridge the gap were met with resounding appreciation from Malaysian BOICE.
From the start to finish, expressions of gratitude flowed freely from the band. Yonghwa, who learned most of his Malay words from his front-row fans, embraced the word Mantap (Awesome) as a token of appreciation for the fans that night. Jungshin and Minhyuk joined in, peppering their conversations with Malay expressions such as “Amboi, hari ini cantik gila,” (Wow, everyone looks so pretty today), fostering a sense of intimacy with the audience. In a poignant moment, Yonghwa even pledged a heartfelt promise to return to BOICE, sealing it with a symbolic pinky swear and the declaration, “Saya janji awak, because saya sayang awak” (I promise you, because I love you).
Each interaction, whether a playful exchange or a heartfelt promise, fostered a sense of intimacy and unity, proving that music truly knows no bounds. Through their sincere gestures and infectious energy, CNBLUE succeeded in creating a memorable experience that resonated with fans on a personal level.
