[MALAYSIA] Beautiful Farewell from BTOB for Malaysian MELODIEs

Malaysian MELODIEs marked the 16th of December 2018 as the day they met BTOB for the fourth time in Malaysia. BTOB in Malaysia 2018 was held at MySpace Ballroom @ MiTEC, Kuala Lumpur.


BTOB is a 7-member Korean boy group. The leader, Seo Eunkwang, enlisted in August earlier this year. This event was held with just the remaining 6 members. It was also announced to be the last fan event for Changsub, as well as Minhyuk, who were scheduled to start their enlistment soon.

BTOB successfully performed 9 songs throughout the night with ‘Missing You’ as the opening stage, which had gotten the crowd hyped up. The show went on with ‘Beautiful Pain’, ‘Friend’, and ‘Only One For Me’ which are among the latest releases from the boys which were performed in Malaysia for the first time ever! With this being one of the last stages for BTOB as 6 members for a while, their ballad stage of ‘It’s Okay’ showcasing their amazing vocals had Melodies feeling sad for the entire song as their next meeting is still left unknown.


The fan engagement was the highlight as it was meant to give Melodies the best of the best! There were multiple sessions of games with the participation of Melodies, during which the winners were rewarded with autographed albums and posters. One of them received the One and Only Polaroid while another was lucky so as to be having a duet with BTOB onstage!

With the help of the MC during the game session, they were also taught daily Malaysian phrases such as ‘Sayanggg.. awak!‘ (I Love You), ‘Lek luuu…’ (equivalent to ‘calm down’) and ‘Saya lapar gila!’ (I’m really hungry) the local way instead of the normal way of saying them. BTOB seemed to be learning well as they mastered the usage of ‘Lek lu’ during multiple occasions throughout the night and successfully brought laughter and smiles on Melodies’ faces.

Towards the final goodbye, the boys expressed their gratitude to Melodies who still supported and waited for them loyally to this date. They were also sorry for not being able to come often as it was going to be a while before their next visit here due to the members’ enlistment. They left Melodies with the promise that they’ll be coming back cooler and more handsome than they already were! 

We would like to wish Changsub and Minhyuk a safe return from their military service and hope that they serve well! We’ll be looking forward to your manlier selves after the enlistment.
