[MALAYSIA] B.I GREETS KUALA LUMPUR WITH A THRILLING 3-HOUR HYPE UP CONCERT

After a long wait, B.I finally returned to Malaysia for his solo concert at Mega Star Arena, Kuala Lumpur on June 30, 2024 as part of his ‘2024 HYPE UP TOUR’, officially greeting his Malaysian IDs (fandom name).

His last performance at The Exchange TRX New Year’s Eve Countdown Party back in December 2023 showcased there are high demand for his own solo concert in Malaysia.

The concert was attended by over 3,000 fans, excited to enjoy the show, knowing that the setlist consisted of more than 50 songs including some unreleased tracks. Famous for his lengthy concerts, everyone seemed geared up to ‘Dduiljunbi!’ (Ready to jump!).

Additionally, B.I also brought along his labelmate, Leo, who debuted in August last year and is also quite popular among the crowd.

BORN TO PERFORM

B.I’s performance reached another level as he kicked off the concert with non-stop tracks including Michelangelo, Alive, One and Only, and Waterfall. He then took a brief moment to properly greet his fans before continuing with illa illa, Loved and Numb. Despite being busy performing, he kept a keen eye on the crowd to ensure everyone was enjoying the show.

Crowd started to sing along, their voices echoing through the arena as they called out his real name, Kim Hanbin. His interaction with the fans further heightened the excitement, as he came down from the stage to be closer to them while performing 4 Letters.

Not wasting any time, he performed some of his famous tracks, including Keep Me Up and Got It Like That. One of the main highlights of the night was when Leo went solo on stage to perform Pretty Plzzz, Come Closer and Farewell. As he bid his goodbye, Leo asked the audience’s continued support for his upcoming projects, and we are looking forward to seeing his growth and potential in the music and entertainment industry!

B.I reappeared in a new outfit, looking excited to finally perform his latest single Tasty! The night went deeper and more fun with high-energy songs like To Die, TTM, Flame and Lover. He also sang a snippet of Born Hater and Smoke Remix, both songs in which he was a featured artist. Fans were delighted to hear these live, appreciating his outstanding vocal and remarkable stage presence!

Reaching the climax of his show, B.I asked if there were any 19-year-old attendees who wanted to be part of an interview session. He then approached a young girl and asked about her wishes once she turned twenty. The close interaction drove everyone crazy, and the girl answered that she wanted to continue studying while ensuring she would keep attending his future concerts. This witty comment flustered B.I for a moment.

Although he is still unsure about any upcoming encore concerts, he promised to work hard to make the girl’s dream come true! Smoothly, he dedicated Nineteen to that girl and left memorable memories to her as a fan.

NON-STOP READY TO JUMP!

The arena continued having fun during the encore of COSMOS and Re-Birth. Knowing it won’t stop there, B.I and his dancers appeared ready for a second round of the concert. He even reminded the crowd if there is anyone who wanted to leave since he promised the show is just about to start and it’s gonna be long. Indeed, everyone chose to stay and enjoyed the whole night and left them with only satisfaction!

B.I then sat down to watch a VCR video prepared by Malaysian IDs, where most of the fans were thanking him for finally coming to Malaysia despite years of waiting. However, his desire to visit Malaysia was thwarted, not by his own choice. Eventually, it was fulfilled, though he did not explain in detail what had previously prevented him.

“It’s not because I forgot about you all. I tried my best to come, but I couldn’t. But I made it this year, right?” His comment made everyone emotional knowing that B.I would never leave Malaysia behind. He was also aware his popularity here was unquestionable. 

“I am happy to include Malaysia in the list of concert tour stops. I kept my promise to return to Kuala Lumpur. Thank you, everyone,” he said. Through this event, the long wait for his fans, known as IDs, came to an end as they were able to see B.I in person. Most of the attendees were very excited, as they had been waiting for this dream to come true for a very long time.

To the most fun 3-hour long concert with 52 songs by a solo artist, one and only, his name is B.I!

We would like to wish B.I all the best in his 2024 HYPE UP TOUR without any injuries and to stay healthy wherever he was, and we hope to see him visit Malaysia again.
