[MALAYSIA] A ‘Roller Coaster’ Of Emotions For ‘EXO-SC Back To Back Fancon Tour’ In Kuala Lumpur

The hottest duo, Sehun and Chanyeol finally returns to Malaysia after 4 years as a sub-unit for EXO-SC BACK TO BACK FANCON TOUR’ in Kuala Lumpur on May 14, 2023 at Mega Star Arena, Sungei Wang Plaza. The event starts off with a press conference which consists of media and fans who won the VIP fan benefit through lucky draw where they were able to interact intimately.

Chanyeol and Sehun expresses how much they love the enthusiasm of Malaysian EXO-Ls and hope to repay fans with mind-blowing performances for the fancon tour. Chanyeol also shares that he is in the midst of recording and preparing for EXO’s upcoming album and wishes fans to anticipate for their future project soon.

The emcee continues by asking Chanyeol whether if there was any difference that he noticed on Sehun throughout doing activities together for years especially after epidemic. Chanyeol exclaims that Sehun has indeed become grown up and mature but he will always remain a baby to him. Sehun grinned and added that he found himself being the cutest all the time.

As the press conference almost comes to an end, Chanyeol’s quick wit receives good response from the crowd as he already expected questions that will be asked such as favorite Malaysian food. After careful consideration, he mentions ‘Maggi Goreng’ (fried instant noodle) as the most delicious Malaysian food! He even occasionally fries instant noodles at home.

An hour later, the concert begins with their debut song What A Life as the first performance. The duo performed a total of seven songs during the night along with Roller Coaster, Borderline, Fly Away, We Young, Rodeo Station and Just Us 2 as encore. Sehun brings back memories during the ‘Random Play Dance’ segment where he dances to Love Shot, Growl and The Eve. Chanyeol also joins in the fun with him dancing together with Sehun for Love Me Right.

EXO Proving Their Friendship

Sehun shares some photos from his phone which includes a group photo of EXO sending Kai to the military and a photo of him with their leader, Suho. Sehun explains that the head pose is their signature pose every time a member is enlisting. Meanwhile Chanyeol shows photos of him recording for upcoming EXO’s album and a photo of Sehun. Apparently, he randomly took the photo of Sehun on a screen outside of his house because Chanyeol is mesmerised by his visuals.

A Total Heartthrob of The Night

Chanyeol shows off his charm through an acoustic cover of himself singing Radiohead’s Creep to which surprised fans as this is the first time he performed the song for a fancon tour. The boys also repeatedly said phrases like ‘Saya Sayang Awak’ (I love you) and ‘Sampai Habis Sama-Sama Kita Enjoy’ (let’s enjoy until the end) which EXO-Ls acknowledged their effort.

Sweet Memories To Be Cherish

Ranging from Soya Bean to Putu Bambu, Sehun and Chanyeol acknowledged that Malaysia’s food was indeed delicious! The foods were part of a game segment and the duo seems to be enjoying every sip and bite of the traditional kueh. Chanyeol and Sehun also promised fans that they will return again to Malaysia as the full EXO group next time. The duo also drops hints of upcoming activities from EXO-SC, which EXO-L screams excitedly.
