[INDONESIA] The Soulful DEAN and The Bold Tabber Ignited Sparks in Their Jakarta Show

It was the afternoon of December 7, 2024. Fans started lining up and anticipation was building up as they waited to see two of their favorite singers, DEAN and Tabber perform on stage later that night.

As the clock struck 8 PM, the lights in The Kasablanka Hall, Jakarta, had all gone out before the stage flooded with red lights, further burning up the fans’ euphoria. Enter the stage: Tabber. He opened his set with Healing Killing from the 2023 album, Madness Always Turns to Sadness. This was followed by a couple more songs from the same album such as Baby Doll, shut the f**k up, that’s mine, and Being (originally featuring Yerin Baek).

After that array of tracks, Tabber greeted Indonesian fans. “How are you doing, Jakarta? If you don’t know me, my name is Tabber. This is my first time coming to Jakarta,” he said. Thereafter, he performed some songs from his 2020 debut EP, Deep End Mix Tape. During the transition of one of the tunes, the fans chanted, “TABBER!! TABBER!! TABBER!!” making the ambiance all the more lively, to which Tabber said, “Thank you, guys!”

Tabber concluded his performance by performing Adrenaline. Once his set was finished, the stage lights dimmed once again, and fans were eagerly waiting for the man of the night, DEAN. He entered the stage with his 2015 single, Put My Hands on You (originally featuring Anderson .Paak). The Rebels (fandom name) were loudly cheering and sang along with the talented singer.

He then serenaded fans with love (originally featuring Syd of The Internet) which got fans screaming “I know, I know, I know, I know, I know” with him. DEAN also sang a track that he released last year, titled DIE 4 YOU which enthralled fans with the dark and moody visuals on the background. The night would not be complete without the well-loved D (Half Moon) which he originally sang with the rapper, Gaeko. He asked the audience to turn on their flashlights for this song, giving the hall a magical ambience.

Indonesian Rebels were very fortunate because DEAN performed his latest single, NASA (originally featuring FKJ) which was released just two weeks ago on November 29, 2024. We can feel the whole place being transfixed by the otherworldly song. He also performed some songs with his labelmate, Tabber, such as Chi-Ka, which dropped earlier this year. From there, DEAN took us back to 2015 when he sang his debut track, I’m Not Sorry (originally featuring Eric Bellinger). The fans’ chant was unmatched!

Lastly, DEAN belted out his version of Bermuda Triangle which he originally sang with ZICO and Crush. Afterward, it was time to take some photos with the fans! Unfortunately, the night reached its finale. However, before the night ended, the audience got an opportunity to celebrate Tabber’s birthday which falls on December 10, 2024. This further strengthened the bond between Tabber, DEAN, and the fans.

It was a memorable night indeed! Special shoutout to Flabbergast Productions and NB Entertainment, thanks for letting us be part of the fun.
