Jakarta became the epicenter of euphoria on Saturday, December 21, 2024 as Stray Kids brought their explosive dominATE world tour to Indonesia Arena, GBK. Read along for a recap of a night Indonesian STAYs (fandom name) will never forget!

Ever since the group announced their world tour in July, with Indonesia as one of the stops, excitement has been brewing among Indonesian STAYs. On the day of the concert, the hype was palpable as fans from across the nation gathered at the venue, dressed in red and black hues to match the event’s dress code.

At 7 PM local time, Bang ChanLee KnowChangbinHyunjinHANFelixSeungmin, and I.N came out on stage clad in silver glittery top and white trousers, adding a majestic touch to the performance of MOUNTAINS from their latest album ATE, released earlier this year. This was followed by a powerful rendition of Thunderous and JJAM.

Indonesian STAYs, how are you all feeling? From the beginning, the atmosphere of this concert has been amazing! There are so many STAYs present tonight, from the first, and second, up to the third floor. It has been a long time since our last visit, thank you so much for waiting for us,” said Bang Chan, the leader of the group. He followed this by asking the audience on each floor to give their loudest cheers, and the fans gladly complied.

Soon after, the event continued with some older tracks such as their debut single, District 9, and the title track from their 2020 comeback, Back Door, taking us back to Stray Kids’ earlier days. What was already an energetic song was made even more memorable with the presence of their live band which successfully enhanced the performances.

Another highlight of the show was the solo performances! These moments showcased the individuality and unique talents of each member. The individual set was started by HAN, who sang Hold my hand which displayed his raw vocal and rap skills. Next up was Lee Know who transformed himself into a charming schoolboy for Youth, giving a cheerful and optimistic vibe to the audience.

To slow things down, it was time for Seungmin to shine with As we are, a soothing and emotionally rich ballad that highlighted his powerful, soulful vocals. Hyunjin concluded the first part of the array of solo sets as he showed off his confident and groovy moves through So Good.

It was never a dull moment with Stray Kids! The boys brought out a swanky car and their best swagger as they continued the concert with Chk Chk Boom, their most recent title track. This was followed by TOPLINE with its intense beats and catchy hooks, as well as the hypnotizing LALALA from their 2023 album, ROCK-STAR.

Further spoiling STAYs, Bang Chan brought his A game to his solo song, Railway, completed with a zombie-like performance by the dancers to create a surreal ambiance. After that, Stray Kids’ maknae took the heart of everyone in attendance as he sexily danced to his solo song, HALLUCINATION.

Unfair, by Felix then captured everyone’s attention as he sang it with his deep and charismatic voice, adding an element of raw emotion to the song. Last but not least, Changbin came on stage with ULTRA, an explosive track that displayed his exceptional rap skills and fierce delivery.

The night was far from over though! The boys changed their outfits to black, signifying the strong performance they were about to deliver for GET LIT, ITEM, DOMINO, God’s Menu, and S-Class. They performed a couple more songs before diving into another ment. “It has been a long time since we met and Indonesian STAYs are very lovable. As a singer and dancer, we are really thankful to see you guys enjoy the performances,” said HAN. He also promised that as long as STAYs are waiting, Stray Kids will come back to Indonesia.

For the last segment, they performed songs from their older to most recent albums like CASE 143, My Pace, Stray Kids, and MIROH, among others. To give back to their idols, STAYs have also prepared a heartfelt video project, which turned some of the boys teary-eyed. This truly showcased the strong bonds between Indonesian STAYs and Stray Kids!

We will be patiently waiting for the next time Stray Kids come to Indonesia!
