[INDONESIA] Spreading Happiness Through Music At K-Content Expo 2018 In Jakarta

As part of K-Content Expo 2018, KOCCA Indonesia with Indonesian Agency for Creative Economy (BEKRAF), Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Korea (MCST) team up with sponsor iLotte to organise a successful concert with amazing guest stars!

iLotte K-Pop Concert was held at The Kasablanka Hall on 6 October 2018 with five amazing guest stars, Highlight, Lyn, Lovelyz, K.A.R.D and SNUPER. They all performed three songs and showed amazing performances for Indonesian K-pop fans!

Bringing Happiness Through Music
The Kasablanka Hall was filled with fans of Highlight, Lyn, Lovelyz, K.A.R.D, and SNUPER. Some fans could be seen with their lightsticks, merchandises, and other fan supports. Before the show started, the emcee asked the audience to offer their prayers for the victims of earthquake and tsunami in Sulawesi. They hoped that through this concert, they could give a little bit of happiness through music during hard times for Indonesians. After all, music is known as a source of entertainment that can bring happiness to people.

A Hot Performance from SNUPER
It was soon time for the first performer to get the ball rolling and it was none other than SNUPER! The boys began their performance with one of their latest songs, “The Star of Stars” and mesmerised the crowd. We can hear Indonesian SWINGs screaming as SNUPER sang the song live!

As the song ended, they interacted a little with the audience and then proceeded to sing the second song, “Platonic Love”. The boys also reminded everyone to wait a little longer and to support their upcoming comeback.

The final song from SNUPER was the title track from their latest mini album, “Tulips”. They ended off well with graceful dance moves.

Dancing Energetically with K.A.R.D
The second performer after SNUPER was co-ed group K.A.R.D! B.M, J.Seph, Somin, and Jiwoo rocked the stage with their energetic performances where they started off with “Ride on The Wind”.

After that, they had a short interaction with the crowd mentioning how glad they were to be back in Indonesia for the second time this year. Then they proceeded with the second song from their pre-debut era, “Don’t Recall”.They soon ended their performance with “Oh Na Na” to the hot cheers from the crowd!

A Lovely Performance from Lovelyz
The show continued with Indonesian singer Calvin Jeremy as he performed a couple of his hit songs. He also shared that one of his music videos was filmed in South Korea supported by Korea Tourism Organization Indonesia.

After his stage, eight member girl group Lovelyz came onto the stage singing one of their latest songs, “That Day”. They all looked so beautiful in blue and white dresses after which they continued with “Now, We”. The girls expressed their happiness as it was their first time greeting Indonesian fans!

Before ending their performance that night, Lovelyz presented their hit song, “Ah-Choo”! We could hear their fans singing along perfectly to the tune and not forgetting the fan-chants as well.

Going Dramaland with Lyn
Changing things up a little, OST queen Lyn began her stage with “My Destiny” from the drama “My Love From The Star”. She was shocked when the audience sang along to the chorus really well and soon, the venue was filled with a beautiful sound.

The next song was “Back In Time” from the hit drama, “Moon That Embraces The Sun”. The singer then continued with a bit of nostalgia by singing one of her older songs, “We Used To Love”. Some might recognise this song from the drama, “Reply 1997”. She was really surprised that Indonesian fans were well aware of the songs and was touched that they all sang along with her.

A Beautiful Night with Highlight
Last but not least, the main performers for the night, Highlight opened up their performance with “Plz Don’t Be Sad” and of course, no one was sad after seeing them on stage! 😛

The gentlemen continues with “Calling You” and fan chants can be heard throughout the song. Highlight then continued to hype the atmosphere with “Beautiful Night” and they bid their goodbyes with a promise that they’ll return as five in the future.

It was a wonderful night with the stars and of course, it was all for a good cause following the recent tragedy in Indonesia. Our prayers go out to those affected by the disaster and we hope for better days to come. We would also like to thank KOCCA Indonesia and iLotte for the media invitation and for bringing everyone together for this special event! 🙂
