[INDONESIA] Special Award for A Special Idol, ASTRO Cha Eun Woo Attends Indonesian Television Awards 2018

On 31st October 2018, Cha Eun Woo of ASTRO attended Indonesian Television Awards 2018 that was held at Studio 14 MNC Studios, Jakarta. The ceremony was to honour the highest appreciation to those in the Indonesian television industry. Last year, they also invited Choi Minho of SHINee as a special guest to spice up the event. With Cha Eun Woo’s latest role in successful Korean drama ‘My ID is Gangnam Beauty’ and his involvement as a member of ASTRO excelling in both singing and dancing, he was invited as a great icon representative from South Korea.

Attention Stealer of The ‘Black Carpet’
Before the show started, the black carpet event took place in front of the venue and was graced by all guest stars and award nominees of the ceremony. Indonesian AROHAs were all ready to welcome Cha Eun Woo with their beautiful ROBONGs and a mix of ‘Vivid Plum’ and ‘Space Violet’ attributes. Cha Eun Woo looked dazzling in his grey suit as he made his appearance while greeting fans at the black carpet.

Presenting An Award for ‘Most Popular Artist’
Halfway through the ceremony, Cha Eun Woo entered the stage with Indonesian comedian, Ayu Dewi to present the award for ‘Most Popular Artist’ for the night. Like the gentleman he is, he greeted all the fans in attendance and also helped Ayu Dewi when she ~acciddentally~ fell off the podium, all in good nature! Iqbaal Ramadhan was announced as the winner for the category who unfortunately could not be present that night.

Receiving ‘Special Award’ & A Short Collab with Local Artist
Before the night came to an end, Indonesian singer, Rossa, and notable emcee, Robby Purba, came on stage to announce the final award of the night which was the ‘Special Award’. It is to honour someone with extraordinary talent in the television industry, and that someone was none other than Cha Eun Woo!

With his latest achievement as an actor, alongside his involvement in modelling, emceeing and growing popularity as an idol member in ASTRO, Cha Eun Woo was indeed deserving of the award. He thanked all the fans who had supported him and also mentioned AROHAs as his source of energy that keeps him going and happy everytime.

Back in 2016 when ASTRO greeted Indonesian fans at their showcase, the boys performed “Kesempurnaan Cinta” (The Perfection of Love) and specially for the night, with the help of the fans and the original singer, Rizky Febian, who was also at the event, Cha Eun Woo successfully sang a short verse of the song through the special impromptu collaboration! It was indeed a memorable moment for AROHAs that night 🙂

Once again, we would like to congratulate Cha Eun Woo for the ‘Special Award’ and for representing South Korea & ASTRO at the ceremony! We would also like to thank Indonesian Television Awards for the invitation and we are definitely looking forward to the event in 2019.
