[INDONESIA] Shine With IVE at IVE THE 1ST WORLD TOUR ‘SHOW WHAT i HAVE’ in Jakarta

Renowned South Korean girl group IVE successfully wrapped up their first-ever concert in Indonesia through IVE THE 1ST WORLD TOUR <SHOW WHAT i HAVE> IN JAKARTA. The event took place on August 24, 2024, at ICE BSD City with thousands of fans filling the venue. It was truly a night to remember both for IVE and DIVEs in attendance. Here is our recap of the magical evening!

The Ultimate ‘Baddie’

IVE kicked off their concert with an explosive performance of their powerful anthem, I AM, instantly igniting the energy in the venue. Following this high-energy start, IVE continued the show with stunning renditions of ROYAL and Blue Blood, truly radiating their royal vibes before greeting the audience.

This concert marked IVE’s second visit to Indonesia, but it was their first solo concert in the country. Originally scheduled for earlier in the year, the concert was postponed to August due to unforeseen circumstances. The girls addressed this delay and expressed their regrets to fans, acknowledging how much they had been looking forward to seeing Indonesian DIVEs. On a positive note, IVE promised to prioritize Indonesia in their next tour!

After showcasing their cute side in the first half of the show, IVE transformed into the ultimate Baddie by performing some of their greatest hits, including LOVE DIVE and After LIKE. During their iconic performance of Kitsch, the cheers were so loud that they left a profound impression on IVE, particularly their leader, Yujin.

DIVEs were also treated to new performances of HEYA and Accendio, the double title tracks from their recent album released in April this year. If the concert had not been postponed, it would not have been possible to witness the greatness of these two songs live, so it was actually a win for Indonesian DIVEs!

Fantastic Sub-Unit Combinations

Not only did IVE deliver a series of amazing group performances, but they also split into fantastic sub-units to perform covers of renowned international artists. The special performance section kicked off with an alluring performance from Gaeul, who delivered her very own rendition of 7 Rings by Ariana Grande, which drove the crowd wild. Changing the mood, Rei followed with a fresh take on NIKI’s Every Summertime. The first section concluded with both Gaeul and Rei uniting for an energetic performance of Wannabe by Spice Girls.

The second sub-unit performance featured Wonyoung and Liz, who delivered a nostalgic rendition of the all-time classic Reality, originally by Richard Sanderson. The performance successfully touched hearts and was instrumental in building excitement for what was to come next.

Last but not least, Yujin and Leeseo performed a mesmerizing performance of Woman Like Me, originally by Little Mix, leaving the audience in awe. What a spectacular lineup of collaborations! We definitely loved seeing these new sides of IVE.

Shine With IVE

During the heartfelt performance of Shine With Me, DIVEs waved their flashlights, accompanying the girls’ beautiful voices as part of the special fan projects they had prepared for IVE. Rei revealed that she was deeply touched by this gesture and thanked DIVEs for their unwavering support.

The concert was not only IVE’s place to shine but also DIVEs’. This was made clear when the girls surprised fans with a special segment featuring random IVE songs. Anyone shown on the big screen had the opportunity to showcase their best dance moves, adding even more excitement to the evening.

Before the encore began, DIVEs had to scream with all their might to fill the SHOW WHAT i HAVE text on the screen with colors to bring IVE back on stage. And of course that was an easy feat for DIVEs. IVE returned to perform their last two songs, OTT and All Night, before saying their goodbyes and officially wrapping up the wonderful night.
