[INDONESIA] NU’EST Finally Meet L.O.Λ.E in Jakarta

NU’EST finally came to Indonesia for the first time as a group for their first tour ‘2019 NU’EST Concert: Segno in Jakarta’. Debuted in 2012, JR, Aron, Baekho, Minhyun and Ren made Indonesian L.O.Λ.E go crazy with their 2-hour setlist! The long wait for the full group’s first ever concert in Jakarta paid off with a total of 25 songs performed at the concert last Saturday, August 3rd 2019 at Istora Senayan, Jakarta.

Opening the concert with the song that made them known as reversal icons, fans cheered loudly when they heard Minhyun’s voice singing the intro ‘Yeoboseyo’. NU’EST then followed up with title songs from previous albums ‘Love Paint’ and ‘Overcome’. The energetic performance continued with their latest title track ‘Bet Bet’. Ren surprised fans with his dance break before the song started, and L.O.Λ.E delivered loud and clear fan-chants during the performance.

After four songs, NU’EST introduced themselves and greeted Indonesia L.O.Λ.E. JR asked fans “L.O.Λ.E, Apa kalian kangen kami?” (L.O.Λ.E, do you miss us?). Aron continued with “Kami kangen kalian” (We miss you guys).  When it was Minhyun and Baekho’s turn, they said “Senang bertemu kalian. NU’EST datang untuk kalian” (Nice to meet you. NU’EST are here for you guys). Ren was impressed with the audience and said they were waiting for a long time to perform in Indonesia.

NU’EST really tried their best to communicate with Indonesia L.O.Λ.E in Bahasa. Each member complimented L.O.Λ.E with cute words such as “L.O.Λ.E Mantul!” (L.O.Λ.E, you are the best), “Kalian unyu – unyu!” (You are so cute), “Cemungudh” (Fighting!) and “Kami cinta kalian” (We love you). They made cute little mistakes as well by saying “Terima kash” (accepting cash) instead of “Terima Kasih” (thank you).

Moving to the extended stage, NU’EST continued with ‘Look’ and ‘Real Love True Love’ that showcased their cool dance moves. ‘I’m Bad’ was the next song to calm the heat. The members went to all parts of the stage to get closer with the audience. JR and Minhyun’s sweet duet ‘Day Break’ made L.O.Λ.E excited once again as they showed their amazing chemistry.

The next part of concert was a solo performance from each member. Baekho started with a touching ballad song ‘Thanksful for You’ brought tears to L.O.Λ.E’s eyes. Minhyun and Ren mesmerized fans with their stage presence and cool performances on ‘Universe’ and ‘Paradise’ respectively. L.O.Λ.E gave different reactions for the last two solo performances. They sang along with Aron during ‘Good Love’ and could not stop cheering when JR performed ‘I Hate You’ because his performance was so sexy!

It was like roller coaster ride for the fans that night. After JR’s intense sexy dance, Aron, Baekho and Ren performed an emotional ballad “A Little Bit More” and continued with “ONEKIS2” together with JR and Minhyun. NU’EST continued the concert with “VVITH” and “Pretty”. The members were playful – a sign they were happy that night.

For the last part of the concert, NU’EST performed songs they released during debut days such as “Face”, “Action” and “Beautiful Gosh”. The powerful combination for the concert climax made the fans cheer as loud as they can, making Ren impressed with fans’ energy. Finally, the last song was “Segno”, which is title of this tour. Baekho explained this tour means a lot to them because it represents a new beginning for them. He also mentioned they are happy L.O.Λ.E have always been beside them until now.

The encore stage was started with “A Song For You”. Minhyun said they released this song on their seventh anniversary to show their gratitude to fans who have been supporting them for the past seven years. The members promised to return to meet Indonesian L.O.Λ.E with cool performances. NU’EST then closed the concert with “Not Over You” and “Hey, Love!” They went all around the stage to greet and thank L.O.Λ.E for the support they received during the concert. They did not stop smiling even when they gave last bow to L.O.Λ.E and once again promised to return very soon! We can’t wait to meet you again too, NU’EST!
