The press conference for MARK & LONA House Party with VVUP offered a warm and lively introduction ahead of the much anticipated fansign event in Jakarta. Representatives from Mark and Lona Indonesia shared that choosing VVUP as their model was a strategic decision to build awareness within the K pop market. The presence of an Indonesian member was also seen as a strong bridge to connect with local fans. They admitted that they were pleasantly surprised by the overwhelming support from Indonesian VVINIE.
During the session, the members introduced themselves one by one, from Jiyoon, Kim, Suyeon, to Paan, immediately creating a relaxed atmosphere. The Mark and Lona team praised VVUP for their professionalism, especially during the product photoshoot earlier that day. According to them, the members showed great potential and proved that choosing VVUP as brand models was the right decision.
Kim shared an emotional moment about returning to Indonesia for the first time in two years. She described her feelings as a mix of excitement and nostalgia, especially since this visit allowed her to return with her fellow members. One thing she missed the most was nasi Padang, which she jokingly said is impossible to find in Korea.

Food became a recurring topic throughout the conference. Kim expressed her desire to take the members to try seblak, while admitting that Jiyoon is the pickiest eater who avoids green vegetables. Suyeon mentioned wanting to explore Blok M, while Paan excitedly said she wanted to try as many Indonesian dishes as possible. Jiyoon also added nasi goreng and satay to her must-try list.
When asked about their personal habits, the members shared fun details fans loved. Paan revealed that the emoji they use most often is the metal hand sign. As for must-bring items, Jiyoon never travels without her neck pillow, Kim relies on her glasses, Suyeon cannot live without her AirPods, and Paan always carries her favourite perfume.
Suyeon highlighted that her favourite Mark and Lona item is the VVUP collaboration T-shirt. Kim also expressed how grateful she felt to be performing in Indonesia, explaining that VVUP waited until now because they wanted to come back stronger with renewed branding and a new album. She apologised for the long wait and sincerely thanked VVINIE for welcoming them so warmly.

The members also shared their hopes and future plans during the press conference. Kim mentioned her wish to collaborate with Indonesian singer Kunto Aji, while Jiyoon teased that something special would be revealed on stage later that night. They confirmed that their 2025 goal of visiting Indonesia had now been achieved, and expressed hopes of winning first place on a music show next year.
Several lighthearted moments filled the room, including Jiyoon saying the Indonesian word “beda” to remind fans that VVUP is different from others. Suyeon jokingly admitted that learning Indonesian from Kim was very difficult, before sweetly saying, “Aku sayang kamu.” Paan laughed as she confirmed that Jakarta really is as hot as Kim had described.
The press conference ended on a heartfelt note, with the members thanking fans for the warm airport welcome and their constant support on social media. They shared that although it was their first time in Indonesia as a group, the country already felt familiar because it is Kim’s hometown. The session closed with a group photo featuring VVUP and the Mark and Lona Indonesia team, marking a memorable start to their Jakarta schedule.
Thank you Mark and Lona for the media invite!
