For K-Pop fans in Indonesia, the most awaited event is none other than K-Content Expo 2018. KOCCA Indonesia will hold the largest Korean creative content event in Indonesia for its third consecutive year, on 4-7 October 2018.
This event will be divided into three, Business and Networking Meeting on 4-5 October 2018 at Sheraton Grand Jakarta Gandaria City Hotel, Exhibition and Events on 4-7 October 2018 at Atrium Kota Kasablanka Mall, and K-POP Concert on 6 October 2018 at The Kasablanka Hall.
For the Business and Networking event, KOCCA invites more than 50 companies from Indonesia and ASEAN to have a B2B (Business to Business) meeting with a total of 40 Korean content companies in animation, character, game, television and virtual reality (VR).
Due to high enthusiasm at K-Content Expo last year, 2018 K-Content Expo Exhibition and Events will be held for four days. It is free of charge so anyone can come and visit many booths that serve the best creative contents from animation, game, music, to Korean beauty products. Visitors could experience playing games and VR, taking photos with Korean characters, and watching newest television dramas or music videos. Online streaming platform Viu will also be present for the first time ever at K-Content Expo 2018.
Furthermore, there will be a public Fan Meeting with KOCCA’s ambassador, Korean boy group Highlight, at the main stage of K-Content Expo. “Anyone could come. It is based on first come first serve basis,” said Dhania Rishanti, representative of KOCCA Indonesia. The Fan Meeting is scheduled to take place on 6 October 2018 at 2PM, for approximately 45-60 minutes. If that’s not enough, but don’t worry because Highlight will also be coming to the most awaited K-POP Concert event at 5PM.
Not only Highlight, but also Korean OST queen Lyn, rising girl group Lovelyz, EDM co-ed group K.A.R.D and boy group Snuper will entertain the visitors at The Kasablanka Hall. Tickets can be obtained for free through iLotte giveaways and quizzes. For more information regarding the event, do check out the full details here.
K-Content Expo 2018 is presented by Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Republic of Korea and BEKRAF, organised by KOCCA and supported by Ministry of Food & Drug Safety of Republic of Korea, Korea Cosmetic Association, KCC, KTO, KOTRA, iLotte and Viu. According to Greg Kim, Regional Director of KOCCA Indonesia, Korean Government aims to spread happiness to Indonesian citizens through the best creative contents from Korea. “We hope that K-Content Expo 2018 would lead to many positive contributions for the development of creative content industry in both Indonesia and Korea.”
We would like to thank KCC Indonesia for inviting us to the press conference. Stay tuned to The Seoul Story for further coverage of the event series! 🙂
