[INDONESIA] Kim Bum Captivates Bummies’ Hearts at ‘Between U and Me’ Fanmeeting in Jakarta

The talented Kim Bum made his much-anticipated comeback to Jakarta after more than 10 years to spend the night with Indonesian Bummies at his ‘Between U and Me’ fanmeeting.

Since his debut in 2006 with The Daring Sisters, Kim Bum is no stranger to the world of Korean dramas and movies. He has starred in many acting projects such as Boys Over Flowers (2009), all the way to Tale of the Nine Tailed (2020), and Ghost Doctor (2022).

After his last visit to Indonesia on August 7, 2010, he finally made his return to Indonesia! The event officially started when the actor showed up in an adorable soft pink suit to match the loving energy of Indonesian Bummies. He set the show in motion with a sweet serenade for fans which was then followed by an introduction from the actor himself.

Once he had greeted the fans warmly, it was time to do a “Bum’s Update” segment. During this part, Kim Bum was asked what was the most meaningful moment for him after debuting as an actor. To that, he said that finally seeing fans here after the pandemic is something that makes him really happy.

Following that, fans were then brought into the “Bum’s Quiz” segment where everyone, including Kim Bum, had to guess which body parts were being shown on screen. Fortunately for the fans (unfortunately for Kim Bum), he answered all three questions incoorectly, and as a consequence, he had to do a dance cover of STAYC‘s Poppy, JISOO‘s Flower, and LE SSERAFIM‘s Unforgiven. He mentioned that he prepared hard for these challenges!

Not only did he get to have fun by himself on stage, but Kim Bum also invited a number of fans to play games with him.

After playing a lot of fun games, it was time to take it down a notch. In “Bum’s Therapy”, Kim Bum unleashed his inner artist by painting on a plain white t-shirt. He drew the nine-tailed fox from his famous drama, an Indonesian flag to capture where he was at the moment, and a heart to embody his love for fans, among other things.

Next, Kim Bum surprised Bummies by performing a well-loved Boys Over Flowers OST, Because I’m Stupid by SS501. A lot of fans felt emotional during the song because of how nostalgic it was. It certainly brought back a lot of lovely memories!

Without Kim Bum knowing, turned out fans had prepared a surprise for him. During the surprise video, everyone took a trip down memory lane where we reminisced about his first visit to Indonesia in 2010 and his journey thus far as an actor. Furthermore, fans also gave their well wishes for Kim Bum. It was an emotional moment that made Kim Bum shed some tears.

The night unfortunately had to come to an end. Kim Bum concluded the show by singing a rendition of Universe by Coldplay and BTS. Indeed, it is safe to say that Kim Bum and Bummies are each other’s universe!
