[INDONESIA] Energetic & Youthful Stages From Stray Kids at Spotify on Stage 2018

On 12 October 2018, Stray Kids along with Thailand rock band, Slot Machine, American DJ, Alan Walker, English female singer, Anne Marie, and Indonesian Jazz R&B singer-songwriter, TULUS rocked the stage for Spotify on Stage 2018 at JI Expo Kemayoran, Jakarta. Stray Kids’ attendance brought a lot of attention to Indonesian K-pop fans, especially Indonesian STAYs who were lucky enough to see Stray Kids for the first time in their own country.

A Grand Opening
Stray Kids was the third artist to perform that night after Slot Machine and Anne Marie. Opening up the stage with their hit debut song, ‘District 9’, the whole venue cheered loudly and Indonesian STAYs can be heard pumping up the atmosphere with the fanchants!

Safety First during The Concert
After the first performance, they began their greetings in English while continuously reminding fans to stay safe and stop pushing each other. The barricades were pushed all the way to the front which caused chaos at the venue. The committee decided to stop the concert until everything became more organised and peaceful. After the situation improved, Stray Kids returned on stage and performed their second song, ‘My Pace’.

A Cute Stage Full of Energy
After performing ‘My Pace’, they continued with ‘Awkward Silence’ and ‘Grow Up’. Both songs gave a mix of cute and youthful energy that the fans thoroughly enjoyed. Even though these two songs are not their title tracks, STAYs had a great time singing along and enjoying themselves to the fullest.

Elevate the Performance with ‘Hellevator’
Before leaving the stage, Stray Kids gave their all for their final song of the night, ‘Hellevator’. The audience was amazed by their stage presence as a rookie group and certainly did not want the night to end. Even though it was Stray Kids’ first time in Indonesia, they gifted fans with energetic and beautiful performances and we hope to see more of it in the future!
