[INDONESIA] Chanyeol Makes EXO-Ls Believe in ‘The Eternity’ at First Solo Fancon in Jakarta

Chanyeol successfully wrapped up his first ever solo fancon ‘The Eternity’ in Jakarta on March 9, 2024. The amazing show was held at ICE BSD City with thousands of fans in attendance. 

The fancon began with Chanyeol’s iconic performance of Nothin’, which was welcomed by roars of enthusiastic cheers from Indonesian Yeolmaes. He then proceeded to greet fans in Indonesian by saying, “Senang bertemu kalian lagi. Halo, saya Chanyeol,” which translated to, “It is nice meeting you again. Hello, I’m Chanyeol.”

After giving fans a warm greeting, the show continued with the first segment, #CHANYEOL. During this segment, Chanyeol shared some unreleased pictures of himself along with the latest updates about his life. The pictures varied from shots of him in the gym to behind-the-scenes from his previous shows.

The second segment is called the CY TMI News. Just like its name, Chanyeol had to answer a total of fifteen TMI questions about himself within 100 seconds. If he succeeds, he will be granted a chance of using a superpower to do anything as he pleased. Upon hearing the rules, Chanyeol jokingly replied “Easy, easy,” expressing his confidence in completing the mission, and he was right—Chanyeol succeeded without any difficulties.

In the following segment, dubbed as the 2024 Chanyeol Awards, fans were asked to vote on several aspects of Chanyeol’s preferences prior to the show, such as his favourite outfit style, go-to selfie poses, and the moment that captured their hearts. The fans’ answers were supposed to match Chanyeol’s. However, when the answers were tallied, they only managed to match one of Chanyeol’s choices. Upon seeing the outcome, Chanyeol jokingly suggested that maybe the fans had voted based on their own preferences rather than his.

Before continuing the show, Chanyeol requested the chance to use the superpower he acquired during the first segment, which was to allow fans to experience the beauty of the four seasons within four minutes. Chanyeol proved that it was not a mere talk by performing a beautiful rendition of his solo song SSFW, the song expresses the joy of being with someone throughout all seasons of the year.

After changing outfits, Chanyeol resumed the show with the 60 Seconds Challenge segment. In this segment, Chanyeol had to complete a series of three different games within 60 seconds, with only three attempts allowed. Failing meant Chanyeol had to choose a costume and walk the runway, while achieving success promised rewards for the fans. Despite his confidence, Chanyeol failed the first two attempts. As a result, he dressed up as a doctor and an angel, which successfully made the crowd go crazy with his transformation.

Chanyeol eventually succeeded on his last attempt and rewarded fans by serenading them with a cover of an Indonesian song titled Inikah Cinta by M.E, accompanied by his enchanting guitar playing. He also surprised fans by doing the viral First Snow challenge together with the MC. The surprise didn’t end there as Chanyeol continued to pamper fans with the FAN EVENT – Selfie with CY segment, where several lucky fans got the chance to take a selfie with Chanyeol through the screen.

Time flew and the fancon finally neared its end, but the day was not over as Chanyeol performed sentimental renditions of Tomorrow, Fly Away, and Rodeo Station. When it was time for a group photo, it turned out that Chanyeol wasn’t the only one preparing surprises as fans prepared a heartfelt video and LED rose projects to repay Chanyeol’s love and warmth.

The project was a huge success, and Chanyeol expressed that he was truly touched by the support, promising to come back soon. However, it was finally time to say goodbye. Chanyeol bid his farewell and delighted fans once more by performing Good Enough, with fans singing along, to end the wonderful day.

‘The Eternity’ Fancon Tour in Jakarta might have ended, but the memories we spent with Chanyeol will surely last a lifetime.
