[INDONESIA] Beautiful Evening with Lee Jong Suk at Crank Up In Jakarta Fan Meeting

Lee Jong Suk finally had the chance to meet his Indonesian fans for the first time on 3rd November 2018! Fans of the charming actor filled up The Kasablanka Hall  to attend his fan meeting ‘Crank Up in Jakarta’. After a VCR introduction, the big screen on stage was split into half and Lee Jong Suk appeared standing in between.

The fan meeting started with a casual talking session between Lee Jong Suk and the emcee. Lee Jong Suk told fans that he had a great time when he visited Bali for a photoshoot some time ago and because of that, he had always wanted to hold a fan meeting in Indonesia. When the emcee asked Lee Jong Suk about the kind of activities he usually does during his fan meeting tour, he mentioned he has a strong love towards food! The actor shared that he used to eat a lot and mentioned ‘Dak Galbi’ (Korean Spicy Chicken Stir Fry) as his favorite dish. Of course, he mentioned that he loves Nasi Goreng and felt happy he could taste this iconic food while in Jakarta.

Next, they touched on the topics of his social media and fashion. The actor said the purpose of him using Instagram is to communicate with his fans of which he would usually post his selfies when on tour. When asked about his fashion style, Lee Jong Suk said that the cast of ‘Pinocchio’ trusted his stylist a lot while filming but personally he prefers wearing casual shirts and sweatpants at home.

Lee Jong Suk also shared that in preparations for his upcoming drama, he had lost 5kg through dieting. Fans expressed their concerns regarding this piece of news but with his sweet smile, Lee Jong Suk calmed the crowd and told fans to anticipate his drama ‘Hymn of Death’ that will air its first episode on 27 November 2018! It is a romantic drama revolving ancient setting and it is something different from his previous works.

The fan meeting continued with memories of his past projects shown on stage. Voted as one of the best sad scenes by Indonesian fans, it was a crying scene from ‘I Can Hear Your Voice’ and the actor mentioned that he did not need to prepare beforehand, it was something natural for him.  Next was the best romance scene, and it was a kiss scene from ‘While You Were Sleeping’. He shared that he had to film the kiss scene twice because of the ‘two different worlds’ concept for the drama. “I think that was one of my favorite scenes from the drama,” Lee Jong Suk said while smiling. But when the emcee asked about his favorite kissing scene of all time, he mentioned that it was a kissing scene from the drama ‘Pinocchio’.

The fan meeting then continued with a game session. Lee Jong Suk randomly picked nine lucky fans to play some games with him on stage. They were divided into three groups to play “Tebak Gambar Saya” where Lee Jong Suk had to guess what fans drew on the board. After a fun time on stage, all fans who participated in the game received a hug from him.

Proving that Lee Jong Suk is such a multi-talented actor, he also prepared a special music performance for Indonesian fans. With a blue-striped shirt, Lee Jong Suk appeared and sat down in front of a piano. Although Lee Jong Suk made some cute mistakes while performing, fans were quick to show their support by saying “It’s okay” to him!

Lee Jong Suk performed two of his drama OSTs and the audience sang along with him through it all. Before saying goodbye, he said he was very grateful for the welcome given by Indonesian fans and the crowd for the night was definitely the best during his fan meeting tour so far!
