[INDONESIA] An Unbelievable First Meeting at NMIXX SHOWCASE TOUR ‘NICE TO MIXX YOU’ in Jakarta

NMIXX displayed an unforgettable first impression during their first visit to Indonesia for their SHOWCASE TOUR ‘NICE TO MIXX YOU’ in Jakarta on June 9, 2023 at The Kasablanka Hall.

Vocals, Dance, and More Amazing Vocals

From the very first note, NMIXX did not disappoint with their opening performances of dance-heavy tracks TANK and O.O from their first single album, AD MARE. They continued to impress the audience with their live versions of PAXXWORD, Just Did It and Young, Dumb, Stupid, proving to the audience that their strong vocal abilities are the real deal.

In a segment NSWERs were eagerly waiting for, NMIXX performed two covers: TWICE’s TT and Hey Mama by David Guetta featuring Bebe Rexha and Nicki Minaj. The performances had fans screaming their heads off as the NMIXX girls got into the groove.

An Unexpected Duality

In between every few songs, the NMIXX members were eagerly greeting and interacting with their fans, sharing memorable moments from their performances and stories related to each song. With these small interactions, NSWERs were able to laugh along with their idols who showed more of their goofy sides, sharing moments of joy throughout the showcase.

One particular segment that was interesting was when NMIXX divided themselves into three groups to direct the audience to sing an Indonesian children’s song, Sayang Semuanya (I Love Them All). Along with Lily and Haewon, the left side of the crowd started off the song, which was continued by BAE and Jiwoo and the middle crowd, and finally completed by Sullyoon and Kyujin with the rest of them. It created a ripple effect that made the simple song more memorable for the audience.

Don’t Wanna Go Home

After their dreamy stages of My Gosh and COOL (Your rainbow), NMIXX was stunned by a fan project video detailing their journey and including words of encouragement from Indonesian NSWERs. After several members wiped away their tears, each of them thanked the fans for their support and promised to work hard to give them the same strength back. Haewon even jokingly asked the fans where they had gotten such old videos from to use in the project, lifting the mood a little.

With the last few songs of HOME and Love Me Like This, the crowd was absolutely not ready to go but still gave it their all as they sang and danced along with NMIXX. As soon as they left, the audience cheered for an encore and had the girls back on stage once more to perform Love Me Like This and O.O.

It was truly an exhilarating time spent with NMIXX and we are already looking forward to their next visit to Indonesia!
