With their charming energy, SM Entertainment’s 4th-generation girl group aespa successfully held the 2024 aespa LIVE TOUR – SYNK: PARALLEL LINE in JAKARTA on August 24, 2024 at the Beach City International Stadium.
After promising to return to Indonesia, the wait was finally over—and yes, it was worth it. Making their debut with the unforgettable hit Black Mamba, aespa solidified themselves as a truly one-of-a-kind girl group.
Known for their unique and bold concept, every comeback they make is sure to become a favorite among MYs. Earlier this year, aespa made a comeback with their first studio album, Armageddon, once again proving their ability and talent to ace every concept and deliver a no-skip album that fans can’t get enough of!
An ‘Already Spectacular’ Start
The concert kicked off with a bang as aespa launched into their hits Drama and Black Mamba, dazzling the audience in stunning white dresses. This spectacular opening set the tone for the night, proven by the deafening cheers from Indonesian MYs, who never fail to make a bold first impression.
They continued with the famous Supernova, which sent the crowd into an even greater frenzy. Indonesian MYs couldn’t help but sing along from start to finish. The energy kept escalating as aespa turned up the heat with Mine before greeting their Indonesian fans.
During the greetings, both the fans and members shared the sentiment that the concert was well worth the wait. The members expressed their gratitude for finally returning to Indonesia to fulfill their promise to the fans. Afterward, they create a calm and magical atmosphere with Thirsty.
A Moment in The Spotlight: aespa Solo Highlights
Following the group’s performances, it was time for something truly exclusive to an aespa concert: the highly anticipated solo highlights from each member. These unique performances gave each of the girls a chance to shine on their own, showcasing their individual talents and personal styles.
Giselle dazzled in a stunning red dress as she kicked off the solo highlights with Domino, a track she helped shape with her own concept, lyrics, and sound. Next, Karina took us back in time with Up, an old-school hip-hop jam that showcased her lyrical prowess. Fans were mesmerized by her flow and electrifying performance.
Ningning was up next, casting a spell over the audience with Bored, a song she also co-wrote. She proved once again that she’s a versatile performer and a powerful maknae. The solo segment wrapped up with Winter’s fiery performance of Spark. True to its name, it lit up the stage and left the crowd buzzing with excitement.
Aespa Gets ‘Em Done!
After delivering spectacular solo performances, aespa kept the night rolling by performing their hit songs from different eras like Spicy, Hold On Tight, Live My Life, Trick or Trick, and Set the Tone. The crowd was clearly loving every second of it, singing along non-stop and proving once again that aespa has a no-skip discography.
Even though the MYs had been hyped up since the first song, the crowd totally lost it during the long-awaited moment when aespa performed their phenomenal hit Next Level. They rocked the stage even more as they performed Armageddon next. The girls absolutely killed it with their dazzling stage presence, leaving everyone speechless.
After a series of wonderful performances, it felt bittersweet when the girls finally returned to the stage to perform their last song. Cheers of “aenergy” and “encore” filled the air during aespa’s final ment. Led by Ningning, they sang a snippet of aenergy, one of aespa’s other hit songs, and promised to perform it in full next time they visit Indonesia.
It was such a sweet, sealed promise between Indonesian MYs and aespa. With that, the 2024 aespa LIVE TOUR – SYNK: PARALLEL LINE in JAKARTA came to an end as they closed the night with Melody. We were beyond thrilled to experience aespa’s concert and can’t wait to see them again soon!
