[INDONESIA] A Night Full of ‘Happiness’ at Park Hyung Sik ‘SIKcret Time’ Fan Meeting in Jakarta

Park Hyung Sik successfully held his first ever solo fan meeting ‘SIKcret Time’ in Jakarta on January 27, 2024 at Tennis Indoor Senayan. The fan meet also marked his first visit to Indonesia after seven long years where he made a visit to Bali for a pictorial back in 2017.

The idol-actor made a dazzling entrance by singing his very own OST from the drama Our Blooming Youth (2023) titled Monguri, before proceeding to greet Indonesian SIKcrets for the very first time. He also gave fans a pleasant surprise as he conveyed his greetings with fluent Indonesian saying, “Halo sayang, mohon bantuannya hari ini”, which means “Hello love, please take care of me today.”

Park Hyung Sik ‘SIKcret Time’ fan meet carried the concept of a top secret agent called Agent H, which is Park Hyung Sik himself, and his junior agents are called SIKcrets. Both Agent H and SIKcrets need to work together to solve the cases given in the upcoming segments. The brilliant concept idea came from no other than Park Hyung Sik himself.

During the first segment, Park Hyung Sik made fans reminisce about the good old times with a brief performance of one of ZE:A’s biggest hits of all times, Aftermath, perfectly showcasing his best sides as an idol and entertainer. He also performed a wonderful rendition of Justin Bieber’s Off My Face before heading to the next segment of the fan meet.

Park Hyung Sik continued to show his adorable and irresistible charms during the interactive games with the fans. One of the games that has definitely become the highlight of the night was the ‘Poker Face’ game. Five microphones with different sound settings were prepared and Hyung Sik’s mission was to find the correct microphone within three attempts as he sang, all under one condition, he was not allowed to laugh. However, as soon as he sang the first verse of Paul Kim’s Every Day, Every Moment, his voice turned into a high-pitched one, instantly making the crowd burst into laughter.

As if his presence alone was not sweet enough, Park Hyung Sik serenaded fans with a cover of Every Moment of You, originally sung by Sung Si Kyung. He especially chose the song because he wanted to remember every moment spent at the fan meeting. Hyung Sik was also surprised to hear fans singing along to the song.

As the fan meet came to an end, a heartfelt video project prepared by Indonesian fans was shown. The video consisted of a timeline of Park Hyung Sik’s career and a special letter to the actor. After watching the video attentively, Hyung Sik revealed that the words, “We are sorry because we can only support you from afar”, resonated deeply in his heart. He reassured fans that they have nothing to be sorry about because he feels grateful for all the support.

To end the night, Park Hyung Sik once again showcased his beautiful voice with a performance of Because of You, the iconic OST from Strong Girl Bong-soon (2017), which seems to be a fan favorite. Hyung Sik made a promise that he will soon greet the fans with more projects in the future and will return to Indonesia soon when he gets the chance.
