[INDONESIA] A Memorable ‘Starry Caravan’ Night With Cha Eun Woo In Jakarta

From singing to acting, Cha Eun Woo is one of the most well-known actor-dol in the industry. As a vocalist and the main visual of idol group ASTRO, not only does he carry sweet vocals but a talent in songwriting as well. On screen, he has also captured the hearts of many through his roles in various dramas such as My ID Is Gangnam Beauty and True Beauty.

On July 23 2022, Cha Eun Woo held a solo fan meeting to greet his fans abroad after a long time, choosing Jakarta as his first stop for 2022 Just One Ten Minutes [Starry Caravan]. The event name was inspired by his wish to get closer to his fans through the concept of camping together under a starry night inside a caravan.

The Beautiful Serenade

During the fan meeting, Cha Eun Woo serenaded AROHAs with First Love, a song he personally chose to open the show with. The song was written by him and is one of the tracks from ASTRO’s third studio album, Drive to the Starry Road.

He continued to show his vocal skills through drama OSTs such as Don’t Cry, My Love and Love So Fine. Spicing up the stage with more extravagant performances, Cha Eun Woo successfully did a cover of Shawn Mendes – When You’re Gone and Cool – Aloha, showing various sides of him that fans might not have seen before.

The Fun Side of Nunu

Aside from acting and singing, Cha Eun Woo is also well-known for his artistic style. He personally showed this on stage when he received the challenge to create a clay toy into a photograph of himself. Even though it was a hard task, Cha Eun Woo finished it happily with the fans’ support.

Also known as Nunu, an endearing nickname given by fans which symbolises cuteness, Cha Eun Woo did not shy away from re-enacting his aegyo scene from True Beauty which his character in the drama Suho, did to cheer up his girlfriend. AROHAs could not contain their excitement and complimented his cuteness which the star reacted to shyly.

Getting to Know Each Other Better

During the Fact Check segment, Cha Eun Woo answered fans’ curiosity explaining that he was originally shy whenever people would call him handsome since he does not think he is that good looking. However now, he is very thankful to receive such compliments from people. He also expressed his desire to always crack jokes despite his friends saying he is not a funny person. Most importantly, Cha Eun Woo shared he feels more carefree now especially regarding his own style and clothing choices signalling an improvement as he used to be affected by people’s opinions before.

Of course, no visit to Indonesia is complete without Nasi Goreng (fried rice) which he had during the night of his arrival. Since he did not have the chance to explore Jakarta, fans poured their suggestions of places to visit. Among them are Bali and Sudirman Street which Cha Eun Woo teased fans that they should all visit these places with him together.
