[INDONESIA] A Day of Celebration with Apink and MIRAE for ‘ON THE K: 360, Special 1st Anniversary KOREA 360’

After a year of becoming a platform that supports the expansion and promotion of Hallyu content in Indonesia, KOREA 360 together with Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) Indonesia invited special guests Apink and MIRAE to commemorate the first anniversary of KOREA 360 on November 18, 2023. Let us take you on a journey of what went down during the festivities!

MIRAE’s First Impression of Indonesian NOWs

The event started at 1.30PM local time with a hand-printing placement and press conference with MIRAE. When asked if there are any places in Indonesia that they would like to visit, Junhyuk said that it would be nice if they could go to Puncak, a place not far from Indonesia’s capital city, Jakarta, which has a beautiful scenery. He also mentioned that he wants to try paragliding there!

Since it is their first time coming to Indonesia, Dohyun commented that his first impression of Indonesian NOWs (fandom name), is that they are very lovely and passionate.

A ‘KILLA‘ Performance by MIRAE

Soon after, it was time for MIRAE to perform some of their songs for fans who had eagerly been waiting. They kicked it off with their 2021 debut single KILLA and everyone in the building could feel their fiery passion!

Next on the setlist was their bright and fun track, JUMP! which had us all bopping our heads along. Lastly, they performed Marvelous, where they truly exploded with stage presence. Once the performance ended, 150 lucky NOWs had the opportunity to greet the boys during the fan sign event.

Apink’s Unexpected Choice of Favorite Indonesian Food

It was then time to meet the lovely and talented ladies of Apink! At the press conference, they were asked about their favourite Indonesian food and Hayoung said gado-gado, an Indonesian version of a mixed salad, usually consisting of a variety of vegetables, eggs, fried beancurd, and tofu.

In addition, Namjoo said that her favorite dish is soto ayam, an Indonesian version of chicken soup with clear herbal broth mixed with rice noodles, topped with boiled egg, fried shallots, celery leaves, and herbs. She mentioned that she likes to eat it with sambal sauce, an Indonesian chili paste.

An Unforgettable Show by Apink

Just like Indonesian PANDAs (fandom name), we were equally excited to finally see Apink perform. To start things off, the group sang their latest title track D N D which was released on April 5, 2023 as part of their 10th mini-album SELF and we were definitely blown away by their beautiful voices and choreography.

It was then followed by a beloved track, LUV which had everyone screaming at the top of their lungs, especially during the “L-O-V-E, LUV!” parts. Sadly, their performance had to end and they concluded with I’m so sick! The meeting between Apink and their fans was further strengthened during the fan sign thereafter for 150 lucky PANDAs.
