[SINGAPORE] Here’s Why Male Idol Group IN2IT Is The Next ‘IN’ Thing

Despite being a rookie group, IN2IT has ample of experience when it comes to performing on stage, executing their talents during life performances at the BOYS24 Hall prior to their debut. The four month old octet embarked on their first Asia showcase tour, kicking it off at School Of The Arts (SOTA), Singapore on the 2nd of February. Here are a few reasons why you should keep an eye on these rising stars:

Possessing Skills of High Calibre
Everyone in the group has a certain role they have to play, and the IN2IT members are extremely polished in their area of expertise.

Since the first broadcast of BOYS24, the public was exposed to Inho’s forte, singing. Belting out Adele’s ‘When We Were Young’, his vocals sprang with tenderness in the lower registers, and reverberated when it came to to the higher notes.

Another main vocalist that galvanised the fans was Yeontae. If we have to describe him with one word, the perfect expression would be a ‘fighter’. After being eliminated under ‘Unit Purple’, then having a chance to return, before going through another round of eliminations during the last BOYS24 broadcast in ‘Unit Red’, he is a member that earned his place in the group with determination and dexterity. He charmed the crowd by singing his very first OST track, ‘My Way’, from the drama, ‘Revolutionary Love’.

Jinsub is known to be armed with triple threats, and is an up and coming rapper that can render a high note if needed to. He writes his own lyrics, and showcased them in the ‘Unit Rap Battle’ back on BOYS24. Serenading the crowd with Taemin’s ‘Day and Night’, his fluid dance moves won the hearts of the crowd.

Inpyo is the group’s dancing machine; you can count on him to reel in the crowd with his powerful and inviting dance moves. Performing Beyonce’s ‘Partition’ during his first audition on BOYS24, he managed to invigorate the crowd again with his rendition of Sunmi’s ‘Gashina’.

Sunghyun is also known for being active in lyric making; in fact, the rap verse in their original song, ‘Amazing’ was penned by him. His other notable compositions include ‘Champ’ from the ‘BOYS24 LIVE BOYS24 #ver1. UNIT GREEN + WHITE’ album.

Jiahn is more than just a pretty face; he is a member with many areas of virtuosity. In the ‘Rising Star’ music video, he portrays the center role, and now continues his legacy in the group. He is also known for his honey-like vocals.

Last but not least, Isaac and Hyunuk have come a long way in terms of dancing. Prior to BOYS24, Isaac was a teacher that mentored students on K-pop dances in Malaysia, and Hyunuk was an abecedarian dancer. The power duo performed their cover of EXO’s ‘The Eve’, which showcased a combination of alluring and bodacious moves.

Prodigious Dance Covers
IN2IT takes the icing on the cake for being experts of K-pop dance covers.

First up, Jiahn, Isaac, Hyunuk, Yeontae and Inho delivered their dance rendition of SEVENTEEN’s hit song, ‘Clap’. Their synchronised dance moves are to be praised for, and we’re also loving the fact that they’re also fans of the 13-member boy group!

The same quintet then joined forces again to perform BTS’ ‘MIC DROP’, donned in similar clothings worn by the 7-member group in the music video.

The boys are also known to be huge fans of MONSTA X. A few of the members did an impromptu cover of ‘DRAMARAMA’ on After School Club, and Sunghyun and Jinsub did a dance cover of it on one of their VLIVEs while Inpyo was behind the camera, singing the song. Isaac expressed his gratitude and felicity when an IN2U gave him a Wonho fan during one of their fan signs.

On top of that, Jinsub and I.M of MONSTA X are friends in real life; they met in MuDoctor Academy. They even shared a long hug on stage during Monsta X’s first win on ‘THE SHOW’! Talk about friendship!

Appealing Original Songs
Despite their modest repertoire at the moment, the group has a couple of catchy songs under their belt. The boys performed ‘Amazing’ and ‘Cadillac’ off their debut album, ‘Carpe Diem’.

Winding down the night, the boys performed ‘Starlight’, which was originally sung by ‘Unit Red’ during the last broadcast of BOYS24. We believe that the song holds deep-rooted and earnest memories for the boys, especially Yeontae, Hyunuk and Sunghyun who were initially eliminated after performing that song, but brought back into the programme through voting. The boys also performed their rendition of Unit Black’s ‘Steal Your Heart’ as IN2IT.

Not forgetting their roots, the boys explained the significance behind ‘Rising Star’, and shared that they practiced it even more than their new tunes; as this particular song kick started their journey as idols. Despite the gruelling competition on BOYS24, we’re delighted with the final line-up of the group!

Last but not least, IN2Us present at the event celebrated the group’s 100 days of debut with them! We believe that the group has accomplished a significant amount in their four months, and look forward to their future endeavours with that pompous potential they possess. We give them our blessings and hope they would continue to walk on a flowery path moving forward!

We would like to give a huge thank you to Fast Track Events for the media coverage! 🙂
