2. Star 1117 by ATEEZ

ATEEZ‘s discography has grown more diverse since debut and the representative ballad song goes to none other than their fan song, Star 1117. This track holds a special meaning because November 17 marks the date ATINY – ATEEZ’s fandom name – was announced.

“Gather all your painful memories I’ll make you shine like a star”

Lyrically, the song touches on the love and appreciation that ATEEZ has found in recent years. Musically, the way the electric guitar blends into the subtly building bridges — switching from Yeosang to Hongjoong — is undeniably the highlight of the song!

3. I’LL BE A STAR by BDC

The next song is a relatable song that hits home. In an interview with The Seoul Story, BDC revealed this song as their favourite in their THE INTERSECTION: BELIEF album. I’LL BE A STAR manifests BDC’s desire to cherish their significant other.

The harmony between Seongjun, Junghwan, and Sihun‘s sweet voices makes this song pleasant to the ears. They complement each other well and make this track such a joy to listen to.

4. Red Thread by ONEUS

ONEUS’ piece is an upbeat yet melancholy tune that sees them tending a lonely heart while searching for their beloved.

5. SLOWMOTION by TREASURE

This monster rookie group may be new but has already established their own sounds. In this song, TREASURE shows aspiration to be acknowledged as a ‘healing-dols’ – which derives from the term “healing” and “idol”.

SLOWMOTION‘s lyrics hint at their hope to take things slow to spend more time together. Moving from the year where we experienced the unexpected, this track provides a dose of warmth that we so desperately need.

6. Spring Snow by THE BOYZ

THE BOYZ greets fans with Spring Snow which embodies lyrics of comfort and appreciating the little things in the mid-tempo track.

The song unfolds with a solemn piano and ends with the hint of recognizing the fans who find them.

New shared that Spring Snow is the song that he listens to when he is feeling lonely. Also worth noting is that all members participated in writing the lyrics for this track. Sangyeon, Jacob and Kevin also participated in the song production.

7. All I Do by VERIVERY

It is a great break from the more ambient songs in this list and can get you groovin’ through it. The track that VERIVERY serves up — All I Do — explodes with warm and light-hearted vibes.

All I Do starts slow with Min Chan‘s sweet voice, and the chorus kicks in with the mention of not wanting to let go. The tune during the chorus adds a different layer of groove and attitude to the song, providing a pleasant element for their vocals to shine.

8. Nap Of A Star by TOMORROW X TOGETHER

9. EX by Stray Kids

The next track on this list is EX from Stray Kids‘ repackage album IN生 (IN Life). Their clear voices are placed perfectly in the mix alongside heart-wrenching rap and lyrics depicting their desperate longing for the one they have hurt deeply.

Stray Kids also released an accompanying music video for the song, which shows the members’ way of coping with a broken heart. Leader Bang Chan and rapper Changbin also participated in the songwriting, showcasing their talent that goes all the way to the top.

10. BEHIND YOU by AB6IX

All hail Park Woojin for blessing us with this emotional song. BEHIND YOU is a fan song dedicated to ABNEWs with lyrics that sweetly thank fans for waiting after his hiatus from his knee surgery.

Woojin also commented that he wrote the lyrics during the toughest time of his life.

“As I listened to the song, I thought of the situation I was in (when I wrote the lyrics) and became very emotional. But at the same time, the pleasant memory is that we tried something new. It was fun recording the guide (for BEHIND YOU)” he shared during the press conference for AB6IX‘s SALUTE EP.
