[SINGAPORE] 10CM Writes a New Chapter with Centiners in <To 10CM: Chapter 1>

The Voice Behind Tender K-Drama Moments

If you are a fan of K-dramas such as Lovely Runner, Our Beloved Summer, Goblin, Crash Landing on You and Queen of Tears, you would certainly be familiar with 10CM (Kwon Jung Yeol) — the soulful voice behind your favourite dreamy original soundtracks (OSTs). Widely crowned as the OST king, 10CM is beloved by Centiners for his uniquely husky voice that carries deep undertones of warmth and nostalgia.

After almost two years, 10CM is back to bring Singapore Centiners a heartfelt nostalgic night with his 2026 Asia Tour, <To 10CM: Chapter 1>. With a specially curated setlist, 10CM brought Centiners along a reflective journey to revisit the different chapters of his career, from his indie roots to the wonderful artist he has become today.

10CM’s Unwavering Sincerity

The Singapore stop for <To 10CM: Chapter 1> faced an unexpected hurdle when the condition of 10CM’s throat deteriorated on the day of the show. Despite seeking local medical attention, he was unable to recover in time. 10CM personally took to the stage before the set began to address the crowd with a heavy heart, explaining that his voice would be sounding different. As a result of this situation, he had made the decision of issuing full refunds for the entire audience.

Yet, not wanting to disappoint the Centiners who had gone through the effort to travel down, he assured the audience that the show would go on. “I was really looking forward to my show in Singapore and was really looking forward to performing for you guys,” he shared. “Tonight will be a little different, but I will try my best so you can enjoy yourselves.” In that moment, 10CM’s sincerity towards Centiners shone far brighter than any vocal limitation, turning tonight into one of his most raw and vulnerable shows yet.

Heart-piercing Ballads and Cheeky Upbeat Hits

10CM checked in to the evening with Hotel Room, turning The Theatre at Mediacorp into an intimate, cozy sanctuary. The healing night journeyed through the classic tracks that defined 10CM’s early years — It’s So Nice, Americano, Hug Me and Love in the Milky Way Cafe while also weaving in newer hits like Island and Us. Before Hug Me, he invited Centiners to help him out by singing “Anajwoyo” (hug me) after him in the chorus. Despite the condition of his throat, he managed to hit all the high notes perfectly. What a professional you are, Jung Yeol.

Following the performance of Us, he had a sudden realisation: he had been so caught up with his performances that he had forgotten to introduce the titles of the songs that he had been singing. “Hug Me, Love in the Milky Way and Us were perfected by your voices,” he gratefully shared. The night continued with a string of fan favourites — Pet, Mattress, To Reach You, Stalker, Gradation, Phonecert and Undercover Lovers.

A stand-out moment was during Stalker, when his drummer turned on his flashlight and signalled for the audience to do the same. In an instant, the dim theatre transformed into a sea of shimmering lights. It was an incredibly wholesome moment as Centiners waved their flashlights and sang along, supportively filling in the parts where his voice needed rest.

Surprises After Surprises

The night’s biggest surprise came when 10CM brought in an electric guitar. “The next song is the song I want to sing the best out of all the performances tonight,” he announced. “This is a present that I have prepared for you guys.” No one could have been prepared for him to start singing Home by Kit Chan, a tribute to one of the most iconic National Day classics that is deeply nostalgic to every Singaporean Centiner.

Breaking away from his usual setlist, 10CM also revealed that instead of his usual last song, Undercover Lovers, he has a different last song in mind for Singapore. “The last song for today would be Spring Snow,” he declared, sparking a wave of ecstatic screams. For those who do not know, Spring Snow was a viral sensation from the hit K-drama Lovely Runner that shot to popularity as soon as it was released. As a huge fan of Lovely Runner myself, hearing Spring Snow live was undoubtedly one of my biggest core memories of the evening.

An Encore of Sincerity and K-drama Nostalgia

During the encore, 10CM treated Centiners to songs such as Sseudam Sseudam (Caress) and a second round of Hug Me, a request from 10CM himself who wanted to hear our voices again. However, the highlight of the encore had got to be the K-drama medley he prepared. As the first notes of Drawer (Our Beloved Summer) rang out, the theatre erupted into joyful screams. He then smoothly transitioned into Tell Me It’s Not a Dream (Queen of Tears), filling the theatre with a deep sense of pure nostalgia. As someone who holds these OSTs close to my heart, this medley was the ultimate fan gift.

As the evening drew to a close, 10CM made another heartfelt apology for his vocal condition, sincerely promising to return to Singapore as soon as possible. He was deeply moved as he admitted he had not expected the entire audience to stay until the very end. Of course, for all the Centiners present in the theatre, leaving early was never an option.

Despite the challenges of a strained throat, 10CM’s heartfelt sincerity and dedication to Centiners were undeniable. Pushing through his discomfort to deliver such a high quality concert is truly the mark of a real professional. His heart for his beloved Centiners made the evening even more magical, and the memories of tonight would undoubtedly stay in the hearts of every Centiner for a long time. Rest well, 10CM, and we will be waiting for you to return to our shores!
