[INDONESIA] ‘HUG K-Pop Concert’ Brings Korean and Indonesian Icons Together

The K-Life & K-Live Indonesia: HUG K-Pop Concert successfully brought together fans and artists on January 17, 2026, at NICE PIK2 (Nusantara Indonesia Convention and Exhibition Center). The special stage featured an exciting mix of performers, including Minho from the legendary group SHINee, the beloved boy group HIGHLIGHT, and two of Indonesia’s prominent music talents, Lullaboy and Tiara Andini. Their combined presence created a dynamic atmosphere that showcased the diversity and energy of both Korean and Indonesian music.

This memorable event was presented by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea, the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA), and Indonesia’s Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. More than a music show, the HUG K-Pop Concert stood as a celebration of cultural exchange and a growing appreciation for the Korean Wave in Indonesia. The evening reflected a shared commitment to strengthening friendship between the two countries through music, lifestyle, and creative content that continue to inspire audiences on both sides.

Nearly 5,000 attendees filled the venue to enjoy this cross-cultural music celebration. The evening began at 18.30 WIB, and by around 19.00 WIB, Tiara Andini took the stage as the opening act. She immediately ignited the atmosphere with an energetic performance of Flip It Up, supported by strong choreography from her dancers and a solid live band arrangement. After lifting the crowd’s spirits, Tiara shifted the mood into something more emotional with heartfelt renditions of Bukan Untukmu and Tanpa Cinta, showcasing the versatility that has made her one of Indonesia’s most beloved vocalists.

The momentum continued as Lullaboy delivered an engaging set that kept the audience fully immersed. Performing six songs, including Amazing Grace and Life With U, he demonstrated both charisma and strong stage presence. A standout moment came when he invited a lucky fan onstage to sing 3 New Words together, creating an intimate memory for the crowd. Lullaboy also paid homage to Korea by performing the classic ballad Every Moment With You originally sung by Sung Sikyung.

The most anticipated performance of the night began around 20.30 WIB, when Minho of SHINee stepped onto the stage to roaring cheers. Dressed in a striking brown outfit, he opened with Call Back, instantly sending Shawols (Shinee’s fandom name) into a frenzy as pearl aqua lightsticks lit up and swayed across the venue. Minho continued his set with a powerful lineup of Runaway, Affection, Round Kick, and Something About U, supported by dancers whose sharp choreography elevated the performance even further.

Before wrapping up, he drove the crowd even wilder by removing his outer jacket, turning up the heat in the room. He closed his stage with his newest song, Tempo, delivering a strong final impression before stepping back from the spotlight. After the performance, Minho thanked everyone for coming, expressed his hope to return to Indonesia soon, and waved sincerely to the audience as he left the stage.

After Shawols had their moment, it was time for Lights (HIGHLIGHT’s fandom name) to erupt in cheers as Dujun, Yoseob, Gikwang, and Dongwoon took the stage, opening their set with a powerful performance of Chains. The energy climbed even higher when the iconic intro of Fiction played, sending fans into a wave of nostalgia as the group performed its unforgettable choreography. The venue grew even more electric during On Rainy Days, with the crowd singing so loudly that HIGHLIGHT paused to let the audience take over the chorus, visibly surprised and touched by how perfectly Lights sang every word.

The group continued the throwback celebration with Shock, before closing their stage on a bright and joyful note with Plz Don’t Be Sad and Beautiful Night, turning the venue into one big party. The members admitted they were genuinely shocked by the warm and explosive welcome, saying it had been a long time since they last visited and promising to return to Jakarta for a full concert in the future.

The concert concluded with all the performers returning to the stage together, creating a heartwarming finale as they waved to the crowd and repeated their thanks with bright, grateful smiles. Yoseob made the moment even sweeter by bringing out his camcorder to capture the memories personally, much to the delight of the fans. A fun surprise unfolded when HIGHLIGHT and Minho shared playful interactions onstage, sending the audience into hysterics as it felt like witnessing a mini reunion of second generation K-pop icons. The night wrapped on an overwhelmingly joyful note, with fans leaving the venue happy, energized, and deeply satisfied by a concert experience that exceeded expectations.
