Not even the heavy rain could dampen BLINKs‘ spirit as they welcomed BLACKPINK for their much-awaited 2025 WORLD TOUR <DEADLINE> in Jakarta!

The clock showed 1 PM local time when we arrived in the Senayan area. As we roamed around the malls near Gelora Bung Karno, the vibe felt different. There was a certain buzz in the air that you can only feel when a concert is about to start, and everywhere we looked, people were dressed in black and pink, carrying their BI-ping-bong lightsticks. They were all heading to the same place: Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, to see the beloved Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rosé of BLACKPINK for their return to Jakarta after the BORN PINK tour two years ago.
As the day went on, more and more fans began to arrive, some even travelled from out of town and neighbouring countries! Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves: reconnecting with friends, taking photos, purchasing merchandise, and engaging in all the pre-concert excitement. As showtime drew closer, the rain began to pour, yet even the downpour did little to dull BLINKs’ (fandom name) energy. Then, at around 7 PM, fans finally arrived at the moment they had all been waiting for, seeing BLACKPINK live on stage.
Divided into five acts, the concert started with the perfect opener, that is, Kill This Love, and was soon followed by the fierce and energetic Pink Venom. Both songs managed to get the audience hyped and set the tone for the next 2.5 hours of the show. After the girls introduced themselves, they continued with their 2020 hit, How You Like That, the blazing PLAYING WITH FIRE, and the classical music-induced Shut Down.

An Array of Solo Performances
BLACKPINK’s closeness with one another is one of the reasons why fans fell in love with them. Beyond their undeniable chemistry as a group, each member also stands out for their unique artistry and individual style. This concert further highlighted that, giving each member the opportunity to shine on stage.
To start things off, Jisoo took the stage with a performance of the pulsating earthquake, which truly shook the entire arena. This was then followed by Hugs & Kisses from her latest EP, AMORTAGE.
The energy carried on with Lisa’s performance as she sang Thunder with her signature swag. Up next was ROCKSTAR, and the fans were unstoppable as we all yelled “That’s my life life, baby, I’m a rockstar“.
On the roster of solo performances is Jennie, who sang like JENNIE, ExtraL (originally featuring Doechii), and ending her set with Starlight. Her performances were the embodiment of confidence and allure, successfully capturing fans’ hearts.
Last but not least, it was Rosé’s turn. As a tradition, before coming on stage, she took a bite of an iconic food from each stop. On the first night of the show, as expected, the beloved nasi goreng took the spotlight! Afterward, she kicked off her set with the raw and honest number one girl, followed by the somber, toxic till the end. However, the mood picked up as she played APT. (originally featuring Bruno Mars). This one was an anthem for sure!

BLACKPINK’s Impression of Jakarta
In the midst of the solo performances, the members sang some more of the group songs during Act 3. It felt nostalgic as we listened (and danced) to Pretty Savage, Don’t Know What to Do, Whistle, Stay, and Lovesick Girls.
During her ment, Rosé said, “The weather today is going to make so many memories, we’re having so much fun!” She even stated that “This crowd is built different,” much to the fans’ delight. To that, Jisoo replied, “Kalian terbaik!” (You guys are the best).
Lisa even let us in on a little bit of her day. “I miss Jakarta so, so much. I ordered nasi goreng, so good. (I’m) just so happy to be back here. Thank you so much for coming to support us. Let’s have fun tonight, let’s do this, Jakarta!”

Where Past and Present Collide
One of the most exciting things about this concert was that, for most Indonesian fans, it was their first time hearing BLACKPINK’s latest single, JUMP, live. And the girls did not disappoint! The bassline, infectious drops, stunning laser work, and the members’ charisma made this performance especially memorable.
After hearing JUMP, we were taken all the way back to 2016 with BOOMBAYAH. There is something special about witnessing the group you have loved for so long perform their first-ever song together right before your eyes. The night progressed with more of their hits, such as DDU-DU DDU-DU, As If It’s Your Last, and Forever Young.
Before returning to the stage for the encore, BLINKs were given the chance to showcase the K-Pop idol in them through a random play dance. Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rosé then came back on stage one last time to perform JUMP, Yeah Yeah Yeah, and Kick It.
Overall, BLACKPINK <DEADLINE> in Jakarta was an unforgettable experience that truly cemented BLACKPINK as top-notch performers and beloved icons among their fans.
Thank you iME Indonesia for the media invite.
