[NEWS] ARrC x KARAFURU, Spreading ‘HOPE’ through Iconic NFT Collaboration

Indonesia’s most iconic global pop-art NFT collection, KARAFURU, officially announced a large-scale international collaboration with multinational K-POP boy group, ARrC. Connecting visual art with music, this collaboration brings the universal message of “HOPE” from Jakarta to the global stage.

The main theme of this collaboration is HOPE, which will be embodied through the combination of KARAFURU’s bright colors and ARrC’s fun music. In anticipation of ARrC’s third mini album, titled HOPE, to be released on July 16, the two will launch various multimedia content, including lyric videos, visual teasers, and a short-form collaboration exclusively for fans.

In August, ARrC will return to Jakarta for a Media Day, fan meeting, pop-up store activation, and official merchandise sales, all held in conjunction with KARAFURU. Exclusive content featuring ARrC members and KARAFURU characters will also be released, including composite visuals that blend the two universes.

“This collaboration is more than just the usual synergy between the world of K-POP music and digital art. It is clear proof that Indonesia’s local IP has global appeal through universal messages like HOPE. Through this collaboration, we want to deliver a strong message that art and music can cross all cultural boundaries,” said Seung-Hyun Oh, CEO of SHOH Enterprise.

Founded in 2022, KARAFURU has quickly risen as one of Asia’s best-selling NFT collections, thanks to its colorful world and distinctive characters. The collection has crossed the boundaries of Web3 to Web2 through collaborations with renowned global and local brands. Now, under the new leadership of SHOH Enterprise, a global Indonesian IP & content company, KARAFURU pushes its creative boundaries once again.

The next phase of this collaboration will utilize the creative talents of both teams through the music video of ARrC’s latest album, featuring the dynamic characters and visual themes of KARAFURU. This collaboration will also deepen the user experience by presenting a digital collection based on blockchain technology (NFT). This fusion of art, music, and technology is expected to open a chapter of storytelling and community engagement that crosses cultural boundaries.

ARrC, launched by Korean entertainment company MYSTIC STORY, consists of seven members from Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Brazil, and the United States. In line with the meaning of its name, ‘Always Remember the real Connection’, ARrC continuously strives to strengthen real connections with its fans through music. In recent months, the group has grown closer to Indonesian fans through various local activities and media appearances.

This partnership marks the first step of KARAFURU transforming its “City of Color” into a global stage-paced by K-POP rhythms and NFT imagination. Blurring physical-digital, local-global, visual-audio boundaries, this project is more than a campaign; it is a cultural statement.
