[INDONESIA] ZEROBASEONE and ZEROSE United in ‘TIMELESS WORLD’ at First World Tour in Jakarta

On October 26, 2024, South Korea’s rising boy group ZEROBASEONE made a highly anticipated return to Indonesia. After performing in the lineup of the 38th Golden Disc Awards held in Jakarta earlier this year, they returned for their 2024 ZEROBASEONE THE FIRST TOUR [TIMELESS WORLD] IN JAKARTA. The event took place at ICE BSD City, drawing thousands of fans in attendance.

ZEROBASEONE, also known as ZB1, is a group that emerged from the popular survival show Boys Planet. With nine members successfully securing their places in the final lineup, they officially debuted on July 10, 2023, under WAKEONE Entertainment with their first mini-album, Youth in the Shade. Since then, ZEROBASEONE has gained massive popularity due to their distinct concepts, versatile talents, and remarkable performances.

Ignited the Crowd with Their ‘Solar POWER’

[TIMELESS WORLD] in Jakarta began with ZEROBASEONE making a grand entrance in fancy black outfits, instantly igniting the crowd’s energy with their performance of Solar POWER. The show continued with powerful renditions of some of their greatest hits, including Road Movie, Take My Hand, and New Kidz on the Block, before they took a moment to greet the audience.

ZB1 took the time to thank ZEROSE (fandom name) for their warm welcome and loud cheers, promising a fun and enjoyable night as a token of gratitude. During the talk segment, the members were asked what they anticipated most about returning to Indonesia. ZB1 revealed that they were looking forward to trying nasi goreng and rendang, which are considered some of the best foods in the world. However, what they truly looked forward to the most was the supportive cheers from ZEROSE, which were instantly granted as the fans cheered loudly in response to their request.

While the boys changed outfits after their CRUSH performance, an interactive VCR was played to entertain ZEROSE during their wait. The video featured the ZB1 members mysteriously shrunken, and it was up to ZEROSE to rescue them so they could return to the stage. After three unsuccessful attempts, the only way left was for the fans to chant the magic phrase, “Let’s be together forever,” which they happily did. Thankfully it worked! ZB1 was back on stage and ZEROSE were fully ‘In Bloom’.

Nostalgia to the Beginning of ZEROBASEONE

ZEROBASEONE took ZEROSE on a trip down memory lane, reflecting on the beginning of their career journey. The nostalgic segment kicked off with Zhang Hao’s lovely rendition of Always, a solo song awarded to him for placing first in the final ranking of Boys Planet.

Following this, the rest of the members split into two teams, each performing Over Me and Switch. They then reunited to perform more iconic songs from the show, En Garde and Say My Name. The segment concluded with their energetic rendition of Here I Am, the theme song of Boys Planet, which truly represents the beginning of ZEROBASEONE. Good times indeed!

‘Our Season’

The show reached its peak as ZEROBASEONE performed their latest title track, GOOD SO BAD. The song transformed into an endless loop, with ZB1 continuously repeating the chorus, reflecting their mutual sentiment with ZEROSE of not wanting the moment to end just yet. Before the encore began, the fans surprised the members with a heartfelt sing-along to the lyrics of Our Season, expressing their desire to unite with ZB1 through all seasons.

It turned out that ZEROBASEONE also had a surprise in store for Indonesian ZEROSE as they performed a beautiful cover of Teman Bahagia, originally by Jaz. The lyrics depict a deep and enduring love between two best friends, emphasizing the joy that comes from overcoming life’s challenges together. This sentiment perfectly sums up the relationship between ZEROBASEONE and ZEROSE.

Instead of goodbye, ZEROBASEONE closed the show with a heartwarming performance of HELLO. While it was bittersweet to part ways, the [TIMELESS WORLD] tour serves as proof that ZB1 and ZEROSE’s bond transcends the winter, spring, summer, and fall. We hope to see ZB1 in Indonesia again soon!
