[SINGAPORE] Stray Kids Dominate With Show-Stopping Performances

The wait is finally over and Stray Kids are back in Singapore after two years with a bang. The boys brought the Dominate Tour to the National Stadium on 28 September, making them the third Kpop-group to headline in Singapore’s largest venue. This also marks their first international stop after their 4 day sold-out show in Seoul.

Showcasing their strength both as a group and as individuals, Stray Kids delivered energetic performances of their top hits, and highlighted their unique charms through 8 solo performances.

No Mountain Too High

There was a palpable atmosphere in the air as the sun set in the Singapore sky and the Nachimbongs lit up in sync. It was showtime and Stays were in for a treat. Stray Kids began their show with Mountains, accompanied with colourful strobe lights and drum beats that reverberated through the whole stadium.  They continued the energy with songs like Thunderous and JJAM, which had everyone chanting together in excitement.

During the first ment, leader Bang Chan introduced the members, and their live band. Not forgetting a shoutout to Singapore, he expressed his honour of kick-starting their World Tour in the National Stadium.

The next segment started with their debut song District 9, taking everyone back in time to 2018. This was followed by Back Door, which featured a theatrical stage set reminiscent of their winning performances in MNET’s survival show Kingdom

While known for their synchronised synergy as a group, the Stray Kids members took this concert to showcase their unique charms. Dressed like a rockstar, Han kicked off the solo performances with Hold My Hand, while Lee Know showed off his dance moves with upbeat song, Youth

Seungmin’s vocals filled the stadium with As We Are, where he strummed his guitar for adoring fans. And sporting a new wolf cut, Hyunjin’s powerful solo song So Good was one to remember.

The boys gathered again as eight, taking the stage with their latest single Chk Chk Boom. They performed some of the hits back to back, including songs like Topline, Superbowl and  LALALALA.

The solo performances began again, with Bang Chan making a grand entrance with his alluring song, Railway. The baton was then passed to Stray Kid’s golden maknae, I.N, who delivered a entrancing dance performance.

Felix, slowed things down with Unfair, sitting on top of a music note that descended down to the stage. Last but definitely not least, main rapper Changbin had the whole crowd screaming for his song, Ultra

The solo performances fit every member perfectly and complemented each other, just like the colours of a rainbow. It felt like a message from Stray Kids to the world – we are strong individuals who are even stronger together.

Stays Make Stray Kids Stay

As the concert came to an end, Stray Kids delighted Stays with their knowledge of Singlish, and Singapore food. Seungmin shared that he was excited to not only eat Chili Crab, but Pepper Crab.

Stays were not only the audience, they were also the performers. Throughout the almost 3 hour show, everyone sang along passionately, waved their lightsticks and gave their most enthusiastic cheers to every single member. Their high energy continued in an interactive dance VCR, where Stays showed off their powerful dance moves to some of Stray Kids’ top hits.

As the boys returned on stage for their final ment, they were surprised with a fan-made VCR containing heartfelt messages. Some fans even spoke in Korean, getting a thumbs up from the members themselves.

“The biggest thing that really sets us out a little different to a lot of people is the fact that we really love each other and that chemistry, that heart itself, is also given to our STAYs. So we will not stop, we’ll keep Straying. and you guys, hopefully, will keep STAYing by our sides” Bang Chan took this time to reflect on Stray Kid’s journey, sharing the love for his members and for their passionate fans.

Continuing with energetic songs like I Like It, Case 143 and My Pace, the boys were visibly in good spirits as they chased each other around the stage and even sprayed water on the fans.

Ending with a Chk Chk Boom

The party isn’t over until Stray Kids says so. As fans prepared to leave, the boys surprised everyone on stage again with Miroh, the song that got them their first ever music show win. The whole stadium was then transformed into a dance floor with a special festival remix of Chk Chk Boom. As the night drew to a close, their last song Haven shared a strong, positive message for STAYs. “Step out, and do whatever you want. You gotta STAY with me and I will STAY with you”

Ticking off another career milestone, Stray Kids continues to make history as one of KPOP’s most successful groups and this concert showcased exactly why. With 30,000 hearts beating as one, Stray Kids delivered a spectacular show that will be etched in everyone’s memory forever.

Thank you Live Nation Singapore for the opportunity to attend the concert, and we can’t wait for the next one! 🙂
