[INDONESIA] Celebrating Newly Written History at ‘Kim Soo Hyun Handprinting Placement Ceremony in KOREA 360’

On September 7, 2024, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of the Republic of Korea, alongside Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA), invited another top-class actor from South Korea. This time, KOCCA Indonesia welcomed actor Kim Soo Hyun to KOREA 360, a Korean cultural promotion centre located at LOTTE Mall Jakarta, for the Kim Soo Hyun Handprinting Placement Ceremony.

This highly anticipated historical moment featured Kim Soo Hyun, the popular South Korean actor who recently won the hearts of K-Drama enthusiasts worldwide with his role as Baek Hyun Woo in Queen of Tears. He was present at COLLECT Town KOREA 360 to participate in the handprinting placement ceremony.

At the same location, Kim Soo Hyun also held a mini press conference with various media outlets in attendance. He revealed his excitement about returning to Indonesia after a year and thanked his fans for their unwavering love and support.

Kim Soo Hyun felt honored to participate in the handprinting placement ceremony and expressed gratitude for the opportunity. The actor pleasantly learned that Indonesian fans continue to respond enthusiastically to Queen of Tears, despite the drama ending five months ago. Queen of Tears has undoubtedly become one of Kim Soo Hyun’s most memorable projects.

KOREA 360 was established to support the promotion and international expansion of Korean culture. It has been operating since December 2022 with the support of nine government institutions, including Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA), Korean Cultural Center (KCC), Korea Tourism Organization (KTO), Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT), Korea International Trade Association (KITA), Korea Cosmetic Industry Institute (KCII), Korea Institute of Design Promotion (KIDP), and Korean Foundation for International Cultural Exchange (KOFICE).

Kim Soo Hyun Handprinting Placement Ceremony added to the collection of 157 handprints displayed at KOREA 360, which includes handprints from K-Pop idols, actors, and actresses. The display is divided into two areas: STAR 360, located in the Satrio Lobby of LOTTE Mall Jakarta, and COLLECT Town KOREA 360, situated in the same mall. Both areas are open to the public daily from 10 AM to 9:30 PM (WIB).

We would like to extend our thanks to KOCCA Indonesia and KOREA 360 for the invite!
