[SINGAPORE] SOOJIN Dazzles Seotangs At ‘Summer Daze’ Fan Concert

Female soloist and former (G)I-DLE member SOOJIN brought the Summer Daze fan concert to the shores of the Lion City! This was part of her fan concert tour of the same name which started in Tokyo last month, after making a stop in Taipei before finally coming to Singapore’s Capitol Theatre on August 9, 2024.

SOOJIN started the fan concert strong as she performed her solo debut track Agassy with her dancers, followed by Drop Top. She wasted no time in showcasing her well known stage presence and impeccable dance skills much to the enjoyment of Seotangs (SOOJIN’s fandom name)!

After greeting the audience, SOOJIN discussed more about the fan concert and teased what’s to come. SOOJIN mentioned that the tour name was based on her track off her second EP, RIZZ, and since it’s currently the summer season, she wanted the fans to remember her every summer.

The first segment of the fan concert was SOOJIN TMI (Too Much Information) Quiz, where SOOJIN had to choose a series of emojis and answer the corresponding question by drawing the answer on a whiteboard. The lucky fans who were able to guess what SOOJIN answered won signed albums from her! After such an exciting time, we were calmed by SOOJIN’s smooth vocals as she sang Tide and bloodredroses.

After a costume change, SOOJIN returned to perform Mona Lisa, the title track of the RIZZ EP. She also treated the fans with a special dance performance of Christina Aguilera’s But I’m A Good Girl, showcasing her signature sultry and soft dance moves.

The next segment was 99-Seconds Mini Olympics, where SOOJIN must complete six mini games such as mini basketball and whack-a-mole to enable the fans to get prizes! She managed to complete all six mini games and lucky fans handpicked by SOOJIN went home with signed albums as well. She then performed summery tracks SUNSET and Summer Daze, fitting the fan concert theme as well as showcasing her diverse sound.

SOOJIN returned to the stage for the final time as she performed the refreshing track Lime. In her final ment, she thanked the fans for giving her a happy memory throughout the fan concert and hoped the fans had a happy memory with her as well.

Before the photo time, the fans surprised SOOJIN with a fan banner that said “Our flower has finally bloomed in Singapore”. She was touched and thanked the fans for their love and support, as well as saying that she would like to come back again to Singapore. She ended the fan concert with the catchy track TyTy, but not without a surprise of her own as she went down the stage to throw signed balls to the lucky audience.
