[PHILIPPINES] Minzy Shows Who’s the Best at Her First Solo Concert in Manila

It was an unforgettable night for Filipino POS and Blackjacks as Minzy, fondly known as the “2nd Generation’s K-Pop Queen of Dance”, showed exceptional performances during her first solo show in Manila last June 4, 2023 at the New Frontier Theater!

Minzy kicked off her concert party with NINANO and Fantabulous followed by a dance performance of famous dance challenges. “This isn’t just a concert, it’s a party that everyone can enjoy together,” the singer said. 

The party continued as Minzy performed 2NE1 hit tracks with a mix of her own version I Am The Best, COME BACK HOME, and I Don’t Care. “I’m happy that the Pinoy fans are having fun with so much passion!” Minzy exclaimed after hearing the loud screams from the crowd.

She is undoubtedly one of the best performers in K-Pop as she is known for her exceptional dance skills and fiery stage presence, but Minzy proved at her first solo concert that she can do more than just dancing. Being the all-rounder artist that she is, Minzy showed that she is a vocal powerhouse as well!

Her powerful live vocals were showcased when she performed her solo tracks Superwoman, Lovely, TE AMO, and Flashlight.

Minzy also surprised her fans with a cover of Ed Sheeran’s Perfect. “Thank you for making memories together. Tonight is perfect. So I wanted to sing this for you,” Minzy said in her dedication.

To her surprise, her beloved Filipino POS had a gift for her as well in the form of a touching fan-made VCR. Minzy could not hold back her tears as she thanked her fans: “Thank you for loving my music and being happy with me. You touched my heart so much. Manila is always like a second home to me. You guys are my family. I will come back with new music and better me.”

To cap the night, Minzy performed another round of 2NE1’s I Am The Best, Come Back Home and GO AWAY. She also promised Filipino POS that she would return to the Philippines as soon as possible. ❤️
