[MALAYSIA] NCT DREAM Made NCTzens Dreams Come True During Their Concert in Kuala Lumpur

7 boys, 1 dream. Presented by YES 5G, NCT Dream wrapped up their tour, The Dream Show 2: In A Dream in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday, May 20 2023. Read on as we recap what went on during the concert!

Lit Up NCTzens’ Hearts

NCT Dream, the 7-member NCT subunit, left fans in awe during their much-anticipated concert, The Dream Show 2: In A Dream. The sensational performance held at Axiata Arena, Kuala Lumpur proved to be a dream come true for their devoted NCTzens. NCT Dream members showcased their unparalleled talent, boundless energy, and undeniable charm.

The concert opened its doors at 5pm local time and the venue was filled with enthusiastic cheers of the audience as well as shining green lights from their lightsticks. The stage came alive with a spectacular visual display. The silhouettes of the members appear making all the NCTzens in the arena scream and shout.

The group kicked off their concert with a jaw dropping performance of their hit song Glitch Mode, instantly setting the stage on fire with its pulsating beats and captivating choreography. The crowd’s energy skyrocketed as they chanted along to Countdown (3,2,1) creating an exhilarating atmosphere that set the tone for the night ahead. The boys then continued their stage with Stronger, Dreaming and Déjà Vu as the arena continued to be filled with flashing lightsticks and the singing voices of NCTzens. 

NCT Dream then brought their fans through an emotional roller coaster ride by performing their much anticipated love songs. Starting with the cheerful melody of My First and Last, followed by the sudden ache of Bye My First…, the upbeat jingle of Love Again and ending it with the heartbreaking tune of To My First… These songs held special significance for both the group and their fans. The emotional connection between the members and NCTzens were felt throughout this set.

The concert continued with a special performance by their vocal line singing Sorry, Heart, which pulled all the heartstrings. The fans were then treated to another slow ballad from the boys with a heartwarming performance of Puzzle Piece that filled every NCTzens’ hearts with love. The heartfelt lyrics and powerful harmonies echoed through the venue, holding the audience spellbound.

The Charm of 7Dream

The energy shifted to a more lively atmosphere with a performance of their debut song, Chewing Gum, creating a sense of nostalgia for both the members and the fans.

The infectious rhythms of ANL, Dive Into You and Irreplaceable had the crowd dancing and singing along, ensuring a truly unforgettable experience for everyone in attendance.

The boys continued delivering hit after hit, as their rap line performed Saturday Drip, leaving their fans in awe. The night continued on with a surge of excitement as the members set an electrifying performance of Quiet Down.

The group then took the stage with a vibrant performance of Better Than Gold. The show continued with an energetic medley that consisted of their hit songs, Diggity, Ridin’, and BOOM which ignited the crowd, unleashing a wave of euphoria throughout the venue. The synchronized fan chants and explosive performances showcased the unparalleled synergy between NCT Dream and their passionate fanbase.

Hello Future and We Go Up brought the concert to a climactic high as the members unleashed their charismatic stage presence, captivating the audience with their performances and leaving fans in awe of the group’s talent and showmanship. The group then continued their set with a powerful performance of Trigger the Fever and Hot Sauce.

“Terima Kasih Malaysia, Jumpa Lagi!”

The encore segment was a bittersweet mix of emotions. The stage started with a single spotlight focusing on Mark, where he surprised the fans with his beatboxing skills. Moments after, the stage lit up and the sight of the other members appeared as they performed the title track from their repackaged album, Beatbox. The fun and upbeat performance brought back the excitement and joy for the crowd.

One of the highlights of the concert was the genuine connection NCT Dream established with their fans throughout the evening. The members took time to express their gratitude by showering the crowd with heartfelt words of appreciation for their unwavering support. The members also proudly showcased their skills to the fans by including Malay words in their ment and expressed their cute charms for the audience.

After their final ment, the boys continued their stage with a heartwarming performance of My Youth and Walk You Home, leaving all the fans in the venue in awe with their exceptional vocal abilities.

As a final gift for their Malaysian NCTzens, the members ended the night with a joyful and lively performance of their song, Candy. This colourful and energetic performance was filled with laughter and excitement as the members started running up and down the stage and using this time to create their final memories with the fans. Members, Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle and Jisung bid their final goodbyes to the audience and wished them to stay healthy. As the curtains closed on this remarkable event, fans were left with a sense of gratitude and joy.

The Dream Show 2: In A Dream in Kuala Lumpur was truly a magical experience for NCTzens. The group’s unwavering commitment to spreading positivity and inspiration shone through their music and interactions, leaving a lasting impact on the fans.
