[INDONESIA] Falling Into DAY6’s ‘Gravity’ in Jakarta

JYP Entertainment’s one and only alternative rock band DAY6 recently returned to Jakarta for a successful two-day concert. We had an opportunity to catch their mind-blowing live stage on 1 December 2019 at Tennis Indoor Senayan. Worry not, we’ll take you back to the night with these recaps of the show.

Our Exceptional ‘Stress Reliever

DAY6 didn’t come to play, they came to slay!

Kicking off strong with the heavy drum intro of ‘Best Part‘, the moving LED screen hadn’t even fully opened before Jae and Young K greeted My Days and told them to have a beautiful night together. With an energetic opening, complimented by an impressive stage lights effects, DAY6 went on with ‘Sing Me‘, ‘I Wish‘, ‘Somehow‘ and ‘Time Of Our Life‘.

I know today is gonna be amazing!” Jae shouted ecstatically while pointing out My Days’ enormous energy. He added that when life gets hard, it’s a good choice to come to DAY6’s concert because they will make sure to kick your stress away!

Being the other English speaker of the group, Young K also asked My Days to stand up and groove with them. Complying to that, the show continued with My Days totally immersed in head bangers like ‘Sweet Chaos‘, ‘Headache‘, ‘Warning‘, ‘Shoot Me‘ and ‘I Wait‘.

Instrumental Solo and Special Mashup

During the night, DAY6 also took their time to showcase each strength. Dowoon was the first to bring My Days’ cheers even louder with his drum solo, whilst the bassist Young K joined right after and created a harmonious melody together.

Wonpil finished his synth-keyboard performance very well while the guitarist Sungjin and Jae also took the spotlight with their solo. Not only that, DAY6 also prepared a mashup of their songs and some international hits, such as ‘Like That Sun‘ x ‘Shape Of You‘ by Ed Sheeran, ‘Days Gone By‘ x ‘Treasure‘ by Bruno Mars and ‘Blood‘ x ‘Get Lucky‘ by Daft Punk which unquestionably charmed the audience.

Feeling Good‘, ‘So Cool‘ and ‘Out Of My Mind‘ were three songs that made My Days jam hard and throw their hands up together. Moreover, not only that DAY6 rocked the calmer songs like ‘For Me‘, ‘Wanna Go Back‘ and ‘How To Love‘, but they also perfectly delivered the emotional ballad songs such as ‘Colors‘ and ‘I Need Somebody‘ with My Days compatibly sang along to it.

Endless Gratitude Towards Indonesian My Days

Taking more time to chat with My Days, DAY6 continuously expressed how blessed they are to be able to share moment with each other. They could feel Indonesian My Days’ growing love and affection through the two-day concerts and were very thankful for that.

Young K especially requested My Days to keep their health and always be happy, so that DAY6 and My Days could reunite again in the near future.

To reminisce the beginning of DAY6 and My Days’ journey, older tracks such as ‘Cover‘, ‘You Were Beautiful‘ and ‘Congratulations‘ were chosen for the encore stage. After bidding fans goodbye, DAY6 performed ‘Dance Dance‘ and ‘Freely‘ before generously granting My Days’ wish to stay longer with ‘My Day‘ as the very last song.

It was another milestone reached by both DAY6 and My Days. And we were also blessed to witness the moment as well as enjoy the outstanding show.
