[INDONESIA] MONSTA X, MAMAMOO, and Afgan Greet the Press Before Firing Up the V HEARTBEAT Stage

After the successful launch of the first V HEARTBEAT – an annual music event held by V LIVE in Vietnam – the famous streaming application from South Korea brought the music event to Indonesia for the first time on Saturday, 31 August 2019 at Tennis Indoor Senayan Jakarta to celebrate the official launching of V LIVE Indonesia. Before the concert started, V LIVE held a press conference to announce their purpose of V LIVE Indonesia launching and for the artists to greet the media before performing in front of 3,000 lucky fans who were invited for free.

“We saw that many K-pop fans in Indonesia have shown their enthusiasm to V LIVE. Thus, we hope through this official launching of V LIVE Indonesia, local artists can get the same opportunity to communicate more with fans and have chance to promote their music globally”, said Sky Lee, the representative of V LIVE Indonesia.

Afgan, a famous Indonesian male singer, greeted the media. He explained that he knew about V LIVE a few years ago through his friend who loves K-Pop. Now he is excited to show more sides of himself to his fans through V LIVE. “I’m also going to do a live stream with MONSTA X later through V LIVE”, shared Afgan.

Next up were MAMAMOO, who were represented by three members. Wheein was not able to attend the event due to health issues. Leader Solar expressed her impression of Indonesian fans, “We are excited to be back to Jakarta to meet our fans and we remember that this place is also the place of our fan-meeting last February.”

Lastly, MONSTA X took the stage and greeted the media. “We are glad that fans welcomed us warmly the first time we arrived in Jakarta”, said Minhyuk. They know that Indonesian Monbebe have been waiting for them to perform in Indonesia for quite some time. When asked about Indonesian Monbebe, Kihyun answered, “Monbebe mantul!”. Mantul is an abbreviation of “Mantap betul” which means amazing in the Indonesian slang language.

At the end of the press conference, Afgan, MAMAMOO, and MONSTA X gathered to take a picture together. They promised to give the best performance at the concert and not to disappoint their fans. The artists then left the stage before MAMAMOO and MONSTA X prepared for Hi Touch Event with some lucky fans.
