[INDONESIA] A Romantic Fun-Meeting With Kim Jaehwan in ‘MIN:D’ Jakarta

Kim Jaehwan held his first solo fan meeting titled ‘2019 Kim Jaehwan Fan Meeting MIN:D in Jakarta‘ last Saturday at Istora Senayan. The main vocalist of Wanna One mesmerised WIN:Ds (Kim Jaehwan fan club’s name) with his vocal, dance and charming personalities. During two hours fan meeting, he gave the best fan service that WIN:Ds would never forget. Let’s rewind our memories to that night.

A Breathtaking Performance

Jaehwan made a grand entrance with his song ‘Designer’ that perfectly displayed his sleek moves. WIN:Ds couldn’t stop cheering in awe as he greeted the audience and revealed how much he missed them. When asked what song would be well suited for the romantic night, he chose to deliver ‘Love You Still’ and ‘My Star’ that made the audience sang along with him while swinging their light sticks.

Any WIN:Ds would agree that Jaehwan is a complete package of vocal, visual and dance, but he had much more in store for us! Coming back to stage with an electric guitar, Jaehwan nailed a cover of classic ‘Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door’. He also showcased his acoustic skill through ‘I’m Sorry’, before ditching his guitar and performing ‘Sorry Not Sorry’. WIN:Ds were truly blessed to witness him hitting all those high notes while dancing so flawlessly!

Getting to Know About Him

He sat down for some Q&As and game session, so that WIN:Ds could get to know more about him. First of all, the emcee congratulated him for his first win on music shows. He thanked WIN:Ds in return for always supporting him. He disclosed that since going solo, he felt concerned about the space he had to fill up alone. But he tried to always show the best for WIN:Ds as he also said that WIN:Ds was like a friend and family to him.

The Q&As section named ‘Jjaeni’s Corner‘, revealed many interesting information about Kim Jaehwan that we’ve never heard before. When the emcee asked what he usually do at night, he answered that he likes playing game until very late and will sleep around 3AM. He was also questioned about his friends. Jaehwan revealed that he stayed in touch with Wanna One members through their group chat and that they still converse a lot among each other and he would always made sure they all live well and are in a good condition. What a caring friend he is!

When asked about traveling, Jaehwan said that he must always carry a mask and an eye patch on his bag. During a long flight, he usually spent his time watching movie or playing games. We also got an interesting fact: Jaehwan can’t really sleep alone at hotel room as he will imagine about scary things when he close his eyes.

A Sweet Surprise for Boyfriend-dol Jjaeni

To commemorate his first fan meeting in Jakarta, Jaehwan wanted to take a picture together with WIN:Ds. As he was getting ready, the screen swiftly change to a surprise video of his journey from pre-debut until now, that also contained some special messages from Indonesia WIN:Ds. Jaehwan almost teared up as he thanked fans, saying that it felt good to look back at the memories and it made him want to do even better so that he could become a singer that gives strength to his listeners.

During the night, Jaehwan also excelled at being a sweet boyfriend-dol to WIN:Ds, with never-ending charms and antics to speak trendy Indonesian slangs, like ‘Mantul!’ (means: so good!) and ‘Aku Cinta Kamu Zheyeeng’ (means: I love you, baby). He also presented three hand fans that he personally signed to lucky WIN:Ds. To complete the night, Jaehwan surprised WIN:Ds with a hi-touch session for all ticket holders (instead of some categories like it was previously planned).

At last, Jaehwan performed his solo song title ‘Begin Again’ and a splendid cover of ‘Neighbors Know My Name’ for an encore stage. He uttered his plan to release a new album and hope that WIN:Ds will always support him, so that they could reunite again soon. Before leaving the stage, Jaehwan kept waving at WIN:Ds from all sections, making sure they have a good remembrance of the magical night.
