[SINGAPORE] iKON Greets Fans during the Samsung Unleash Next Gen Bold Event

The event first started off with the introduction of the new Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10+ by Mr Eugene Goh, the president of Samsung Electronics Singapore. Everyone’s eyes were shining as they set their eyes upon the newest generation of Samsung Galaxy phones. There was no doubt that a lot of them were going to pre-order the new Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10+ phones by the time the event’s over!

The boys of iKON, consisting of B.I, Bobby, Donghyuk, Jinhwan, June, Yunhyeong, and Chanwoo, had everyone in a frenzy from the moment they appeared on the stage. iKONics (iKON’s official fan club name) were waving their bright red KONBATs from the moment iKON started performing “Love Scenario”. The venue seemed to shake from the deafening screams of the fans. iKON turned up the heat when they performed “Killing Me”, which called for even amazing fan chants by iKONICs. The sexy yet powerful song had everyone singing along and fervently waving their KONBATS along to every beat.

Last but not least, iKON performed “Bling Bling”, which had everyone bobbing their heads enthusiastically the moment the beat dropped! The members were moving around on the stage during the last performance, walking nearer to the fans and interacting with them through small actions and gestures.

A game segment had iKON sans Chanwoo split into 2 groups to compete against each other. Chanwoo was said to be the expert at “flossing”. Flossing is a dance move created by The Backpack Kid, in which one repeatedly swings their arms from the back of their body to the front on each side, all while clenching their fists.

Everyone was laughing at how ridiculous each group looked as they “flossed” to “B-Day”.

When asked about the collaboration between Samsung and iKON, Chanwoo answered, “So, I personally love playing games, including Fortnite as well and as far as I know, this is the second collaboration of Fortnite with Samsung. We have introduced our own IKONIC outfit. It’s an avatar so do look out for it and we hope you enjoy the game!”

The new limited edition emote created for the game is based on Chanwoo himself! Fans were stunned when a short clip of the avatar was shown on the screen, dressed in red and black, dancing sleekly.

As iKON had visited Singapore last November, they were asked about their feelings about being back in Singapore.

“Of course, we love to be back in Singapore to meet our lovely fans here. It’s great to be here for a concert but again, we are really honoured and happy to be here attending this wonderful event organised by Samsung. We’re exhilarated to meet our fans up-close again”

They were asked to give 3 words to describe Singapore fans, which had the iKON members stunned for a little while as they wracked their brains for words they can use to describe Singapore iKONICs.

“Love, and Siloso Beach because the beach is a very beautiful beach and I think our Singapore fans are just as beautiful or even more beautiful!”

It seems like the members of iKON are charming flatterers!

Before the show ended, Jinhwan said that they all had so much fun and that they hope to see everyone next time. iKON will be performing at the Skechers Sundown Festival, and iKONICs can look forward to meeting the boys again!
