[SINGAPORE] Taeyeon and SONEs share an emotional connection at ‘s…TAEYEON CONCERT in SINGAPORE

Beauty, talent, and personality – these are the three words that we found most suitable to succinctly describe Taeyeon. As Singapore marks the last stop for her concert tour, it was an emotional yet joyful setting to mark another milestone achieved in the Girls’ Generation leader’s career.

Making a grand entrance donned in a beautiful red dress and veil, Taeyeon started the night with ‘Here I Am’, ‘I Got Love’ and ‘Fire’. Definitely living up to her name as the main vocalist of her girl group, Girls’ Generation, Taeyeon continuously stunned the crowd and audience with sharply executed high notes and sleek energetic dance moves which got the crowd cheering for more.

Changing into various outfits and looking like an angel descended from heaven, Taeyeon remained consistent in her performance and exuded professionalism as she appeared comfortable conversing with the crowd, adding her adorable antics such as mimicking the translator. She was delighted that many Singapore SONEs were able to understand what she was saying even before the translator spoke and was honoured to know that her fans picked up the foreign language for her.

Not forgetting her roots, Taeyeon also took the stage with Girls’ Generation’s title tracks such as ‘All Night’ and ‘Holiday’ and fanchants echoed through the hall.

It was an emotional night for Taeyeon and SONEs not only because Singapore was the last stop for the tour, but also because SONEs were able to relate and feel for the emotions that rushed through Taeyeon that night. Perhaps the segment of the concert where we felt most relatable to and emotional about was towards the end where Taeyeon closed the concert with comments about her journey as an artiste.

As a veteran in the Korean entertainment industry, Taeyeon appeared emotional with regards to her success so far, and was evidently moved and humbled by the love she has received.

We sat in awe, touched by the words that Taeyeon said which left a deep imprint on us; about how she didn’t enjoy raking up the past since change is the only constant in our lives. At the same time, it is precisely because the past cannot return that Taeyeon feels a tinge of sadness each time she thinks about it.

Nonetheless, she said resolutely that she would make 2019 a year where she would try and experience new things, and to be a ‘Taeyeon’ she is happy and satisfied with. Taeyeon ended off with a grateful heart gesture once again, fascinated and determined to cherish the fact that many people were present for the one person that was her.

Choking back on her tears as she moved on to ‘Gravity’, SONEs kept cheering on their favourite artiste and even shouted “It’s alright!” to keep her going. Even with tears in the way, Taeyeon still pulled off a stunning performance and belted high notes with perfect execution. The night ended off with encore stages of ‘Time Lapse’, ‘Circus’ and ‘I’. It was evident that the bond between Taeyeon and SONEs was a unique one as they shared their last moments together during the concert.

Just as how much Taeyeon enjoyed performing for Singapore SONEs, we are certain the feeling is mutual that SONEs only wish for her happiness, and for her to be in the best of health.

We would like to express our gratitude to IMC Live Global for the media invite to the concert, as well as Taeyeon for the unforgettable and inspirational words of wisdom. 🙂
