In commemoration of Shilla Beauty Loft’s first anniversary, variety star and actor Lee Kwang Soo was specially invited by global brand The Shilla Duty Free, for an autograph session at Changi Airport on October 20th. His popularity could be seen from the amount of fans who anxiously waited for him at the venue. It was also Lee Kwang Soo’s first ever appearance in Singapore as the brand’s ambassador and no doubt everyone was excited to meet the Prince of Asia!
Smile, and the world smiles along with you
When Lee Kwang Soo finally made his appearance, fans screamed their loudest to show their excitement. It was apparent that the popular Running Man star appreciated everyone’s enthusiasm, greeting fans even as he was making his way up the stage.
He even stopped for a while to take a photo with a fan!
It had been a long time since he had last visited Singapore, and admitted that he was surprised to see the amount of fans at the airport. Upon hearing his name being chanted, the charming man unexpectedly decided to show off his signature dance move, eliciting laughter from fans.
Autograph session with the star
The autograph session started not long after. Lee Kwang Soo tried to be as accommodating as he could, and it could be seen from the fact that he took a photo with everyone who requested for one. There were even those who requested for hugs, which Kwang Soo gladly acquiesced to as well!
A young fan was asked why she liked Kwang Soo, to which she cheekily replied that it was because he was funny and was constantly betraying the other cast members and guests in the variety show, Running Man.
Fans who were unable to enter the event continued showing their support by holding up placards to promote the actor’s soon-to-be-aired drama, and by calling out for his attention.
Lee Kwang Soo graciously showered these fans with the desired attention, reciprocating his love without hesitation. Tiny heart signs were made with his fingers and hands, delighting the crowd to no end!
A giraffe plushie for you, sir?
Endearingly nicknamed the “giraffe” by fans due to his height, the entertainer had also specially prepared giraffe plush toys for the next segment. Excitement brewed as people started gearing up for the Q&A (Questions & Answers) session coming up, in which five questions would be asked.
The fastest hands were spotted by Kwang Soo. It was obvious that he had put in a lot of consideration when choosing the potential winners, bearing in mind that the prizes were soft toys. He was pretty partial to the cute kids at the venue, making sure that they got the chance to give the right answers.
The prize presentation ceremony had people cooing over the sight of the Korean actor towering over the small kids. During the group photo session, he bent down such that his height was level with the winners onstage.
It was such a shame that the event had to come to a close, as the entertainer thanked everyone at the venue for spending time with him at Changi Airport before waving everyone goodbye.
