After a fulfilling press conference for friends of the media who were able to get up-close with Kang Daniel, No Names had their share of fun as they spent an unforgettable and colourful night at Kang Daniel’s first ever fan-meeting in Singapore. Expressing his delight at the thought of fans turning up in pink for the fan-meeting, many No Names donned their favourite pink outfits and kept asking for more as the 1.5 hour show just wasn’t enough!
The night started with a thrilling VCR and as the curtains dropped, Kang Daniel began his stage with the intro track on his album ‘Through The Night’. After expressing his desire through the song to dance through the night with his fans, up next was the ballad ‘Color’, which stayed true to the theme of the fan-meeting as lots of confetti embellished the stage beautifully.
Up next was the first talk segment and fans were all elated to hear Kang Daniel open up about his new adventures regarding his solo debut, especially with regards to setting up his own company KONNECT ENTERTAINMENT, adding the title ‘CEO’ to his name. Fans have been fervently addressing Kang Daniel as ‘CEO Kang’, which put a really bright smile on his face. Daniel also revealed that in his plans for future SNS content, he took one of the extreme rides here in Singapore and asked fans to please look forward to it.
As Singapore was first stop for his fan-meeting tour, Daniel said that he was extremely excited to be back once again. This fan-meeting marked Kang Daniel’s fourth time in Singapore but first time here as a solo artiste, and Daniel fondly remembered Singapore fans to be really smart as they could understand what he was saying even without the aid of a translator. No Names were also treated to lots of fun and games as Daniel was given a quiz and played games that were related to Singapore.
Perhaps the highlight of the night was the dart game where he had to complete missions, as well as the local delicacies game where fans had to guess the food that he was eating. Forfeits like doing the level-up dance, Rolex dance and showing his collarbone kept making No Names scream for more!
The King of K-pop also met the King of Fruits, the durian, breaking two records that night for being the first K-pop artiste to hold a solo fan-meeting at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, and for being the first K-pop artiste to eat a durian on stage. Daniel even expressed the taste of durian by saying ‘okay la’, sounding like a true blue Singaporean.
Up next, Daniel performed the rest of the songs on his album, ‘Horizon’, ‘I Hope’, title track ‘What Are You Up To’ as well as his own rendition of Justin Bieber’s ‘Sorry’.
As the fan-meeting drew to a close, Daniel expressed that he felt regretful that there were not many songs in this album this time as he wanted to repay his fans’ love as soon as possible through this special album. However, he promised that he will become an artiste who will always be there for his fans as they have always been there for him, and to showcase more of his vocals which he did not have many chances to do so when he was in WANNA ONE. He also vowed that the official fanclub name will be finalised and announced really soon!
