Ever since its official launch in January 2016, Viu has been a hit in Singapore with as many as 500,000 application downloads. Fans of Korean dramas and entertainment shows were more than eager to try out the application as it offers a wide variety of selections in both English and Chinese subtitles. The best part is allowing fans to enjoy all these subbed videos easily on their mobile devices no matter where they are, at any time of the day. This is made possible with partnerships from leading broadcasters in South Korea, namely SBS, KBS, MBC & CJ E&M.

 

Viu Premium

Spreading its wings and moving on to bigger things, Viu has announced the launch of ‘Viu Premium’ where Singapore viewers get to enjoy unlimited downloads of their favourite shows in High Definition as quickly as 8 hours after broadcast in Korea, completed with English and Chinese subtitles!

At a low monthly fee of only S$6.98, viewers will be spoilt for choice as Viu has also confirmed the addition of Japanese dramas into their amazing lineup such as ‘A Girl & Three Sweethearts’ and ‘Natsuko Kira’, just to name a few.

Additionally, Singtel users are in for a treat as Viu partners with Singtel to offer packages starting from only S$4.90/month to all Singtel Mobile customers beginning 9 July. Singtel Mobile customers can also enjoy this special subscription, bundled with 1GB of data at an additional S$3/month.

Viu offers an extensive library of content with more than 8,000 hours of Korean and Japanese entertainment for users to choose from by end of 2016. The Viu app is available for download on the App store for iOs devices and Google Play Store for Android devices for users in Singapore. Viu also shared that they will be featuring more Asian content soon!
