[NEWS] Lee Young Ae & Song Seung Heon Return to Small Screen with ‘Saimdang’

Lee Young Ae returns to the small screen after thirteen long years as the main character in Oh!K’s new historical drama ‘Saimdang’! Saimdang premiered with two episodes at the same as Korea’s broadcast on January 26, exclusively at Oh!K. Fans of the drama can follow the latest episodes every Wednesday and Thursday at 10PM.

Set in the Joseon era and present time, Saimdang reveals the unconventional lives of Korean women in the 16th century. The drama also offers an interesting touch where Lee Young Ae also acts as Seo Jiyun, a part time lecturer in present time. The story begins when Jiyun discovered a Saimdang diary in Italy and continued with the revelation of a mysterious painting found in it.

Acting alongside Lee Young Ae is actor Song Seung Heon marking his return after three years with his first period drama as Lee Gyeom. Viewers can certainly look forward to a different side of the actor while watching Saimdang.

Saimdang, which is currently airing on Oh!K has been exported to 91 countries, increasing the Korean drama phenomenon internationally.

 

Oh!K is available in Singapore on StarHub TV channel 816 and Singtel TV Channel 525 (Mandarin) & 611 (Malay).
