[MALAYSIA] Running Man ‘Hotlink Race Start Season 2’ in Malaysia

On November 1, the members of popular urban action variety series Running Man visited Malaysia for very first time as part of their ‘Race Start Season 2’ fan-meeting series. The successful event was organised by ONE HD, and local fans had the special opportunity to get up close and personal with their favourite variety show stars.
Five​ resident cast members namely Kim Jong-kook, Haha, Ji Suk-jin, Lee Kwang-soo and Song Ji-hyo were in attendance, thrilling a massive crowd of over 2,500 fans at Stadium Negara in Kuala Lumpur.

The event was held in the form of an interactive musical concert – complete with interesting stage games, song performances and video montages of memorable scenes from the series. The seasoned entertainers delivered charming performances and entertained the audience with their quirky banter and antics.

One of the highlights of the evening was when the ‘Easy Brothers’, Lee Kwang-soo and Ji Suk-jin, surprised the fans with a hilarious parody of ‘Trouble Maker’ sparking roaring laughter and cheers all-around.

23 lucky Malaysian fans event got the chance to go onstage and participate in stage activities with the members themselves. In the spirit of Running Man challenges, the entertaining stage activities included stage games such as sharing Pepero. The cast also joined an image guessing game that put fans and the cast to the test by imitating the image on screen for the last person to guess correctly.

The fan-meeting was brought to a close with 2 high-energy encore performances by the cast members.

More than 4,000 Malaysian fans gathered for the autograph session

Earlier that day, approximately 4,000 fans gathered at Paradigm Mall for a special autograph session with the Running Man cast members, with some enthusiastic fans arriving as early as 6:00am in the morning. The massive success and fantastic reception of the event no doubt reflected the popularity of the series. Running Man is the No.1 rated show in its timeslot across all pay-TV channels in Malaysia, and the ratings are higher than all the other channels.

‘Hotlink Race Start Season 2 in Malaysia Running Man Fan Meeting’ may be over but the race with Running Man continues on ONE HD with new episodes premiering on every Friday at 11.45pm.
