[INDONESIA] iKON Party It Up With ‘iKONCERT 2016 SHOWTIME TOUR’ in Jakarta!

After wrapping things up in Malaysia, iKON finally set foot in Jakarta for ‘iKONCERT 2016 SHOWTIME TOUR’ much to the delight of fans here in Indonesia! Fans began queuing up early in the morning in order to welcome the boys of iKON made up of members B.I, Bobby, Junhoe, Jinhwan, Yunhyeong, Donghyuk and Chanwoo.

The concert kicked off with an energetic track ‘Rhythm Ta’ accompanied by roaring cheers from the fans as they grooved along with their lighted KONBATs! The boys hyped up the crowd with amazing choreographies and soon after launched into their next song ‘Dumb & Dumber’. The atmosphere got even hotter as iKON continued with ‘Sinosijak’ that had everyone dancing along to their performance.

The boys then took a short break to formally introduced themselves when member Jinhwan mentioned he was very happy to meet the Indonesian fans while Yunhyeong chimed in and told the crowd to just have fun! A little bromance was also spotted as Yunhyeong wiped a little perspiration off Bobby’s chest earning loud screams from fans in attendance. Chanwoo added a little local flavour as he repeatedly chanted “Bagus, bagus! Kami senang ada di sini. Bagus!” (Good! Good! We’re glad to be here. Good!) which put everyone in a great mood.

The concert then continued with their hot favourite, ‘My Type’ in which leader B.I kept saying ‘Bagus’ after his rapping parts which pleasantly surprised fans.

Soon after, Bobby continued hyping the crowd with ‘Are you ready?! I can’t hear you! What’s my name? Are you ready?!’ which he then continued with solo track ‘GO’. It was definitely a memorable performance full of charisma and as soon as he finished his stage, B.I appeared with his own solo track ‘BE I’ accompanied with dark stage settings to further complement the song.

Continuing their performances, the rest of iKON members came back on stage with ‘Anthem’ followed by slower tracks ‘Apology’, ‘Airplane’ and ‘Wait For Me’. It was a nice touch to the concert as fans were brought back to the nostalgic moments of the boys since pre-debut. Member Donghyuk communicated with fans saying “Kalian keren abis!” (You guys are so cool) with Jinhwan adding ‘I Love You’ to fans.

The main highlight of the concert was when the boys transformed into BIG BANG members as they sang along to ‘Bang Bang Bang’! Things soon started to change as Jinhwan and Bobby introduced themselves as Jenny and Barbie and the rest performed GFRIEND’s ‘Me Gustas Tu’ and EXID’s ‘Up & Down’. It was certainly a bizarre side that fans rarely get to see that surprisingly turned out great for everyone in attendance.

Older tracks such as “What’s Wrong”, ‘Just Another Boy’ and ‘Climax’ also made it into the setlist as the boys freely performed and interacted with fans. Each moment spent was definitely memorable and the boys endlessly expressed their thanks to fans with “Terima Kasih” presenting an encore performance with ‘Airplane’, ‘Long Time No See’ and ‘WYD’ as the fantastic night soon came to an end.

Indonesian iKONICs then surprised the boys as a huge cake was brought to the stage to celebrate their 1st year anniversary since debut which left the boys completely speechless. Despite still feeling overwhelmed, the boys continued the party with an encore of ‘Dumb & Dumber’, ‘Rhythm Ta’ and dance crazily as they officially ended off with ‘Sinosijak’!

It was definitely a night to remember for Indonesian iKONICs as the boys displayed their amazing stage presence through out the concert. Fans were more than thrilled to have seen the boys up close and personal and are already looking forward to iKON’s next concert!
