[FEATURE] The Refreshing Charms of Hyeongseop X Euiwoong

For all the fans who kept track of Produce 101 Season 2, this duo might be familiar to you. Full of aegyo and charms, Hyeongseop and Euiwoong are one of the trending pairs in Korea. Their boy next door image and refreshing music are just two of the many factors to look forward to as they grow to be the artist they aspire to be in the future.

Formed by Yuehua Entertainment, the company that formed UNIQ and co-manages Cosmic Girls with Starship Entertainment, let’s find out more about their music and other notable appearances in various projects!

Produce 101
Hyeongseop and Euiwoong were first spotted at the second season of the much awaited survival program from MNET. After the success of I.O.I, which consisted of the girls who won the first season, the channel brought it back for the start of a male version. The show eventually gave birth to the winning group, Wanna One, and other artists such as JBJ, MXM (who is also a part of the MBC Show Champion in Manila line-up), Rainz, Jeong Sewoon, and of course, Hyeongseop X Euiwoong, among others.

‘It Will Be Good’ The First Single
Although the pair did not make it to the final group from Produce 101, they kicked off their career officially as a duo not too long after. ‘It Will Be Good‘ is a song with a mid-tempo beat, with a nice touch of nostalgia. With lyrics full of memories and longing for a first love, it fits the faded, film-like filter of the music video, which sets them apart from other groups.

‘Lip Tint’ The Second Single
Released five months after ‘It Will Be Good’, ‘Lip Tint’ is an ideal summer track from the boys! The song is definitely perfect to jam along to as you go for a drive. Lip Tint perfectly captures the duo’s strengths, which is all about their youthful energy and heart fluttering vibes. Infused with tropical house genre, this track has an easygoing melody that serves as a perfect title song of their first mini album <Color of Dream>.

Hyeongseop on Evil Detectives
It hasn’t been long since they first appeared in front of the public eye but Hyeongseop now already has acting as part of his accomplishments. He became a lead actor in a web drama titled ‘Mischevous Detectives’ along with Produce 101 participant Yoo Seonho and APink’s Namjoo. The story revolves around two high school students and a female detective as they try the solve the mystery behind the disappearance of the boys’ parents. The series had nine episodes.

Euiwoong on Hello Counselor
Before becoming a trainee with Yuehua Entertainment, Euiwoong appeared on KBS ‘Hello Counselor’ on March 21 2016. On that episode, he shared that his parents often asked him to help out at their stores to the point that it was starting to affect his school and social life. After it aired, Euiwoong made a buzz for his good looks, kind personality, and filial piety, which resulted in multiple love-calls from the entertainment industry. A year and a half later, he came back to the show as a celebrity guest. Talk about an upgrade! 🙂
